i have a self bow that i am making arrows for..my draw is 25" so how much arrow length would be good...john
As long as the broadhead dosnt hit the riser.Although with a draw as short as 25" i would go a bit long to add some arrow weight.

This :)
I would add, make sure when you draw, the back of the razor sharp broadhead doesn't cut your knuckle since your knuckles stick out farther than the shelf when you grip the bow.
I learned this lesson the hard way, which is: Pain is an excellent teacher.....and trips to the emergency room to get an index finger knuckle stitched up is expensive and time consuming.
One thing I was thinking about is that a twenty-five inch arrow would have a really stiff spine
I cut mine 1 inch longer than my draw. I have a 26 inch draw so I cut them 27.
