I was thinking of camo dipping one of my recurves. I love the wood look and I am having a hard time parting with it. I would like to see some camo dip pattern on bows especially on three piece recurves and long bows.
I've got a very nice looking Chad Francis longbow that I had Mr. Billy Shipp dip for me. Unfortunately I don't know how to post pics, sorry!
Thanks for the kind words Larry.
Hummer3T.....Go to my website to see a few examples of camo patterns. There is also a link to LIQUIDPRINT on there.....click on film patterns, then click on CAMO.....lots of patterns available, although a few have been discontinued. Contact me if you don't see anything you like there and I'll direct you to other suppliers with more patterns to choose from.
Billy
We need a "plaid" pattern :)
I would LOVE to see the plaid pattern!!! You may have just giving me an idea for a weekend project...got an old Pearson Colt that needs a facelift.

Mike, with those arrows that's a pretty slick looking set-up!!
Thanks Rusty1. Those arrows do look good with the bow.
Mr.Shipp out did himself with that dip. It's flawless.

Man all those bows look awesome. What do you guys think of the durability of that coating so far? Will it look good after a bunch of hunting?

Chris,
We use a 2 part epoxy automotive clearcoat/finish......5 or 6 coats makes it a very durable finish.
Billy
Sounds great. I have a recurve that I think would be perfect for a little predator camo.
One thing for sure, you lay these camo dip bows on the ground or hang one a limb at a 3-D shoot while you fetch arrows and you'll spend more time hunting the bow than the arrow!

Billy, do you have black for the limbs? Not sure I seen it on the web site. And do you have any other colors not shown on the web site? Thanks, Don
Don.....there are several suppliers of film. The camo patterns on the website are supplied by www.liquidprintone.com (http://www.liquidprintone.com)
You can see other and different patterns available at www.twnindustries.com, (http://www.twnindustries.com,) and www.liquidconcepts.com (http://www.liquidconcepts.com)
I'm not aware of a plain black film, although there are several carbon fiber films that are basically black, with several being so black there is barely a pattern noticable.....if you just want solid black, the limbs can be painted black, then clearcoated.
Billy
Here's a couple more with a Predator pattern.

Remember that is someone's bow so if you can't say something nice, don't say it.

I think he meant it in a good way. Like ridiculously awesome
I was wondering what was meant too.
Gave him the benefit of the doubt.
I still think it's neat.
I'd be a little worried about leaning my bow on a tree though..lol :dunno: lol
Us old farts and young guys have a diff.language he was not being critical but was impressed. My .02 Kip
The ridiculous translation has me cracking up! Some us remember when those camo jobs might have been described as "Bad" (but actually good)!
Folks with 3 digits in their age might even refer to the sound a Kitty Kat makes for something they think is ridiculously far-out?

X2
X3 from here.... I won the camo dip job on the St Jude auction, think the Ultimate is what I am going with on one of my Kanati's....
Froggy, I had a bow done in the Ultimate Camo and it was the bomb! Or was that ridiculous? Bad? Any way it was wicked sick!! You'll love it. ;)
I would love to have my Browning Wasp done in ASAT camo.
That, too, would be "ridiculous"! :saywhat:
