Perhaps this can help someone. It humbled me a bit as I am not exactly inexperienced when it comes to posting pictures.
For years, I have been taking full resolution, 10 mp digital photos and then editing them to fit the Trad Gang parameters and minimizing file size/bandwith. Yesterday I re-learned that if I take VGA resolution photos, they will automatically be 640 pixels wide and only 100 kb or so. No editing required. Doh!
So check your image size setting on your camera. Don't forget to change it back if you are taking photos for printing though.
I let photobucket shrink them at the point of upload. Then you don't have to worry bout camera settings.

I leave it to photobucket as well. My phone may not have settings :dunno:
Using the online photo warehouse to post pix here at TG tripped me up more than once. Lee at Keepitsimple Archery walked me through Imgur.com. I owe him for that.
Thanks for the tips.
Posted my first pic's today using Imgur.com and they came out OK,but I did have to resize.
John, I figured that out a few years ago when I couldn't get clear pics by editing them. I think I found it by accident. Shortly after I signed up with Photobucket and haven't had to use it since. I believe my camera is still set up on the lowest resolution.
John,
There is a setting on the bulk upload where you can tell Photobucket what size to to upload. You don't have to take low res photos. Photo bucket can resize them for you.
But, if you have troubles, let me know. I will post for you.

Same here. It's automatically re-sized when uploaded to a preset size.
Thanks John, I'll try that out.
I post on my personal site so I don't have the resizing option. Wish I did :(
