Well, I got outbid on a couple of things (Tippit knives and such) but did manage to bring home the one thing I set out to make mine, the set of knives made by Skyler, Don, Randy, Robtattoo and company!
This has made my auction this year and I feel very fortunate to be able to carry them into the field this September in search of a Bull. These knives are so full of Karma that I hope the elk don't smell them!
Thanks to all the Mods and those who donated and bid this year, it was (and always is) the highlight of my year (other than elk hunting)!
Travis
I agree Travis. Always a great cause with great anticipation and participation. I didn't contribute as much as I normally do, but I contributed as much as I could this year. For The Kids!
I won a trip to Africa for TEN DOLLARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a very warm feeling inside knowing we all helped the Kids! Thank you all...tippit
Pumped!!!
I'm right there with you! I was successful on Faith Stalker!
Like a kid waiting for Christmas now!
Ken
It was fun!
Yes great job mods. And all who donated on both ends!
:campfire:
It looks like easily at least $70,000 commendable generosity especially with the hard year many have had. :clapper:
  :clapper:
:clapper: Hat's off to all of Trad Gang!
No other place in the world like it.
I got outbid by $970 for a dozen of Chloe Beth's orange slice cookies! How awesome is that? But I was really looking forward to those cookies!! Lesson learned? Bid high on the first batch!
Did win a gorgeous tagua necklace, a book on casting lead bullets, and a gift card for some terrific arrow wraps; all because of the generosity of the members of Tradgang and the hard work of the Moderators!
I thank all of you for your time and generosity on behalf of many families that have and will benefit from your efforts. Included is a link to St. Jude's Childrens Reserach Hospital to see why this is so important: http://www.stjude.org/stjude/v/index.jsp?vgnextoid=f87d4c2a71fca210VgnVCM1000001e0215acRCRD
This was my first year to get my feet wet in the auction. I listed a couple things and bought a couple things. It is a fun way to help someone else who need the assistance.
I'll be more into it next year now that I know a little better how it all works.

Couldn't have been better for me (except to have been able to stay the course - LOL - a new experience for this ol' St. Jude Raider).
Bless you all, bless us all (especially the new converts  :goldtooth:
Glad to see you back Berrnie.
The auction was fun, lots of help for the kids.

Sorry double posted :knothead:
I want to say thanks to all also. The ones who have been here a while and like Bernie said newer ones who took the plunge and got involved, ribbing and all and taking it with a grain of salt as it was all ment in good fun. I have a lot of respect for the Mods. and those who have been on the site making it work as a community for years and meeting new ones, it really made it fun and exciting. Last year was my first experience with the auction and I enjoyed this year even more. Many families in some difficult situations will be helped by what you as a gang were willing to sacrifice ( even till it hurt in difficult times) and accomplish. Thanks to all involved. :notworthy:
It was fun. The wife and I were out of town for our sons wedding and I did most of my bidding from my phone. It was hard to keep up at times
how about this one!?
i just joined the forum in april and this was my rookie preview in the auction and i was blessed to come out of it with an AWSOME hog hunt at the bacon strip with terry g !!! on top of that i'll be hunting/hanging out with a few other members meeting new people and forming new friendships while hopefully preparing fresh bacon! great trip, great cuase, life is good! congats and sincere thanks to all who were involved.
 :campfire:
John....we are going to have a blast....I'll make sure of it. :readit:
I know it may not be as much as the past year, but in this economy, I think it's an even greater accomplishment. Glad to be a part of it.
AND DON'T FORGET THE RAFFLE GUYS, THIS MAY JUST BE THE BEST DEAL AROUND, EXCEPT MAYBE A TRIP TO AFRICA FOR $10 :bigsmyl:
You're a good hand Travis. Good folks helping others never gets old.
Had a good time watching the cookie wars as the prices went up. Really excited about winning the bid for a new longbow by Chad Holm, I think I will have Chad make a note on the bow saying it was for the kids......Great cause  I truly wish it wasn't needed.
Way to go guys!! Travis if you need to get rid of some of that elk mojo send it south :)
Trust me Ryan I need all the elk mojo I can get! This will be the year that it all comes together for me again...I will make it happen.
