Title: how many out there shoot Elburgs?
Post by: elbow on May 26, 2012, 02:33:00 PM
I love Elburg longbows just wondering how many out there have them and what models? Mine is a 64 inch Jaguar Special 54@29.5, smooth as butter!

Have an Elburg Cherokee, 64 inches, 54lbs at 28.  Osage riser, cedar limbs.  Named it "Oconaluftee" after the river that flows through Cherokee, NC.  Shoots as good as it looks.

Jaguar Express 64" 56@28 This was my first Elberg and still my favorite, but I have 6 more Elberg longbows and 1 Elberg recurve.

I wish I still had mine!
I can't remember the model name. It was a little 48 or 50" 2 piece. Osage limbs with purple heart tips, riser accents and overlays.I don't remember what the riser wood was.
It was around 63#@26" and really ripped an arrow.

Here's my Condor, 68", 53#@28". I have had a few, and let them get away from me over the years, but I think I'll hang onto this one.   (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v103/scattershot/008.jpg)

I can't believe it,but I found my old bow!
Went to a 3d shoot with my daughter last weekend. It was the same shoot I had sold my Mite at about  12-14 years ago. I haven't been there since then. I was talking to a club member there and mentioned that I had sold the bow there years ago and would love to get it back. He asked if it was around 60#,when I said yes he said he knew who had it. He found another guy for me who had the phone number and we called him up. Ended up buying it back tonight.
Jaguar Mite 50"  61# @ 26"  take down
Walnut riser with Purple Heart accents, Osage limbs under clear glass with 'boo cores. Shot it  as soon as I got home, smooth and fast! The only thing I didn't like about the bow was how bright yellow/orange the Osage was. Well, after 17 years it darkened up to a beautiful honey color. Jonathan , when I decide to let it go again you'll be the first to know.

Two of Harry's Condor models, both 64".  One is 66# @28 and one is 69#@27.  One Condor Elite, has carbon on the back clear glass on the face.  It's 68" and 65#@28.  Great bows but you know that.

Got one of the Mites in LH and one piece. Don't really shoot it. It is mighty light in physical weight. Shoots ok. Is a quite heavy draw bow rated @24" or so. If anyone is interested, I would let it go. Just PM me.
