I'm wanting to get a few wood arrows to try since seeing all of thoes beauties in the woody love thred.
Has anyone tried the hunter arrows from 3rivers? How about their test kit?
I have a few left from a while back before I started making them myself. They are still straight and I never had any problems with them besides shooting trees or whatever... :banghead:
They're at least 10-12 years old, though...
They won't be weight matched.
I got a few that weren't straight and I agree that they Aren't weight matched. If I were you and you were planning on hunting big game with them I'd put out the money and get better custom arrows. also I noticed some of mine were more brittle and would splinter and break if I hit a tree or rock while squirrel and rabbit hunting
Not weight matched, not straightened, not cut to length, no tips included.
You can do a lot better.
Guy
Thanks for the input.
I thought they might be a decent "starter" arrow for someone who doesn't have any experience with wood.
Recommendations?

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!! Seek out a true arrow maker.Grey Tailor for one.
I had no problems with them i shot 4 different dozen. It was awful though because i had to install my own points.
I haven't tried the hunter arrows but the Tred Barta arrows are a great product.
I'm ordering some customs and some pratice arrows from Wilderness Arrows. Check them out, Dave is great at answering all my wood newbie questions
Are you wanting to try woodies for the first time to see if you might like them? I'm just across the river from you in Irmo and I have a ton of them in the neighborhood of 60-65 lbs at about 29-291/2 inches. If you have a bow around 60ish lbs, you're welcome to try mine first.
PM sent to ya Pete.
D From PX and Roger Norris hit the nail on the head. You can do a lot better by searching out a TG Sponsor here and they will work WITH YOU.
They use to be cheap but not the case now, although they are also a sponsor here I would look around at some other choices before you commit to anything. For a mere $20 more you could order some top shelf arrows from Ron La Clair.
