He is doing much better. More procedures tomorrow. He is in York, Maine. I sent some friends the phone number there yesterday and their switch board lit up. The lady answering the phone said, "What's going on? Who is this guy?" HA!
Not many people know this, but he was involved in a head-on collision at age 20 when a drunk driver came across into his lane at high speed. Broke his steering wheel off and the streering column busted his sternum among other things. They suspect scar tissue from that incident was part of the problem, not to mention being over weight, etc.
I'm the one who is really screwed though. This means I will now have to hang all his stands, drag all his critters and probably have to go get the truck anytime he has to walk up hill from here on in :>(
Prayers sent for a successful procedure and a quick recovery! Amen.
God bless, David Camp

God bless the Wensels and may God help Barry with his condition and in his quick recovery.
Thoughts and prayers for Barry. And now Gene, you're with me. I'm the only one who hasn't had a heart condition and I do all the carrying, dragging, hauling etc... "I can't do that, I'm a heart patient!" Don't get fooled by the trickery of old men :^). God's speed for a quick a full recovery.

Gene, that's why they make ground blinds. Just pop it up by the road for him. I have a brother and thats what I would do. :biglaugh:
Hard to know what to say. It's just sad to hear the news and Laura and I both wish you the best. I had eye surgery at York. Great little hospital and very talented docs. He is in very good hands, folks. York has docs that do a lot of work in Boston so you know he has access to the best there is.
Get well soon,prayers sent...
Speedy recovery!!
I'm mostly concerned about the condition of his underware when they admitted him. He routinely packs pictures of what looks like bacon strips in the bottom. I've seen them.... from a distance

Not before breakfast! Wish him a speedy recovery.

Sending good thoughts your way Barry. You'll have to shoot only the little ones going forward--for Gene's sake.......
Uncle Barry,
I think this is just a great tactic you are using to get the advantage at Bear Quest 6 for A team ....good one. But you know you are always in our prayers..get well soon, you faker..
:wavey:
God Bless, Pierre and Jean-Pierre
Barry,
Listen to the docs, my twin has had 4 of those, the first one almost took him. Get some weight off and get fit, you will be fine, amazing what taking a little weight off can do for you, believe me I know. Best of wishes.
Danny
Get well soon....prayers sent.
Get well soon! Praying for a speedy recovery.
Get well soon
Get well soon!!
I see that Mike and Gene have posted here, but I thought I would post these comments from Mike Mitten that I received this morning.
Chuck,
He will be glad to hear from every one. In the hospital, the switch board at the nurses station is lighting up with many calls. The nurses ask, "Just who is this guy anyway?" LOL
I hear he is doing good. They did not find any blockage or anything. He will not need any clot busters or any procedure for stents or angioplasty. The only thing they found was an irregular beat- the atrium are out of sync with the ventricles. His heart may be enlarged at the top. He is expected to make full recovery and he is feeling very well now. The Doc even encourage him to get on with life including going on his annual spring bear hunt. He will have to have a change in diet etc and take some meds, but Gene said he is doing fine.
Thanks,
Mike
A speedy recovery to you ! As many have mentioned it was a warning call time to listen to the body. We all want many more years of bad jokes and good writing, all the best to you, Joe
Will be remembering Barry in prayer!
L.D.
Good thoughts your way Barry.

Gene,
Of course our thoughts and prayers are with Barry (and the nurses).
Also, if I draw an Iowa tag, I'd of course make the sacrifice to hang Barry's stands and personally verify that they were set correctly during the first week of November for him by testing them (I may have to add a few pounds to match up properly-but I can do that too). You're probably already reaching for the stationary to hand write a thank you to me for taking this load off your plate, but no need, that's what we fellow bow hunters are willing to do for each other.
Best regards,
Ray
Barry,,, the new spread through the baltimore shoot like wildfire. You are in all our prayers and thoughts, get well soon.
Oh yeah,,, I know a homeless chef from New Jersey who can cook up those bacon strips for ya.
Gene, getting the truck, hanging the stands, dragging the bucks sounds rough but just think of all his share of good food you can deny him! For his health of course! On a serious note I'm glad he's recovering well.
Prayers sent and thanks for the updates.
Prayers sent that Barry will get back to normal soon!
Poor Gene, maybe time to get a mule? :-)
Hang in there Barry and take care of yourself we need you around. Wishing you a quick recovery...
