Title: glue removal from bow
Post by: TC on May 17, 2012, 05:03:00 PM
OK ... I know that this question's been asked before but what's the best way to remove glue residue from camo tape (or whatever) from a bow's limbs and riser? I bought a bow at a garage sale and this residue's been on the bow for a lot of years. I've tried Goo-B-Gone with limited success.

Thanks for any advice.

Tony

Acetone, lighter fluid, alcohol. You may use it on a old t-shirt to help get it off.

I'd try Bestine, a graphic arts solvent.

I'd add a healthy dose of patience. Most of those things mentioned work, but that rock-hard stuff that's been on there for years takes some time to soften.
