I love mine. Even more comfy than the regular style especially if you have big hands.

Davey:  You should have it by now.  I agree with Bjorn.  The JK low wrist is just a tad thicker in the throat and about 3/8-inches lower at the heel than the standard riser.  I find it a more comfortable grip, but then again, I like low wrist risers above all others.

What about getting the leather wrap? Would that defeat the purpose?

Nope.  Doesn't change it's shape, just makes the entire grip a little larger.  Think it would work well for someone with large hands, or someone who just likes large grips. I've tried leather a leather grip on one of mine.  Made it larger than I wanted.  But I'm sure it would be the cat's meow for others.  Nice thing about leather grips.  Can take them off if you don't like them.

I tried the leather on a 16" ST and it worked good.

You can slip on a rubber grip from a MT bike innertube too. I did that for a couple of years-worked well.
