Just received my Plenty Coups whip HS
...ordered it April 30....2 weeks custom bow in hand
!!!MY LORD!!!
!!!This bow is FANTASTIC!!!
Feels right, shooting perfect, quieter than a mouse, waaaay more than quick enough ( pretty darn fast ), no shock...
The quality of build is outstanding.
The grip is marvelous!
I've never seen a more non-glare finish...and the finish is smooth..somehow he does it without texture...? I mean the glass almost looks like a black chalkboard... Really cool!
One thing that really surprised me at first was how narrow the limbs are...really slim and sleek.
SWEET
Let my buddy shoot it..
Asked him " What do ya think?"
lol....He says.." I WANT ONE! Of all the bows we've HAVE or HAD between us, this is the nicest by far." He HAD to give it back cause he just doesn't want to be tempted right now..lol
I couldn't agree more.
Only took me 5 shots to tell this is my GOTO bow.
...the rest just cemented the fact.
Thanks a heck of a lot to Dan, Jared, Kent, and everyone else involved with this bow.
Kent and Dan ( never had the honor of speaking with Jared) are absolutely helpful, friendly, and professional.
I am one HAPPY HUNTER!
John Kelley
and yeah...I'll get some pics up...lol
Sounds like a winner!! Cant wait to see it. What are the specs? Enjoy the new bow.
Sorry no pics yet...
It's 62" 45#@29"
Boo cores, black glass, Bocote riser.
...jeez I like this bow..lol :bigsmyl:
Cant wait to see it!

Can't wait to see it, like those smooth but flat finishes. Like I mentioned before, you'll find a bow that is it, and you did!!!
These also VERY happily surprised me....
Look how slender this bow is...
This bow at 62" 45#@29" makes my 62" 45#@28" Savannah look like a tank...lol

Cant go wrong with a Toelke. Nice looking rig!
WoW, that is a looker! Cant ask for more than that. And those thin limbs are fast!
Can't go wrong with Toelke or Kent at Plenty Coups. I've been wearing the heck out of my coups cap, need to order another!
I love the name. The lines of this bow really strike me. IT just seems like a natural bow, a work of art, what nature intended those pieces of wood to become!

I agree.
..just got in a cap today too..very nice, well thought out and comfortable.
...It's been a darn good day! lol
Been playing around with stains tonight.
I'd dare say I've darn near figured out how to make a piece of spruce look like bocote.
What do ya think??
Course it won't look quite so grainy on a straight shaft that hasn't been sanded unevenly umpteen times trying to get the stain recipe right...lol

Now were talking!! Those arrows are gonna be sweet looking with that bow! Good Job and Nice Bow!!!
Great looking bow there, glad to hear you found "the one"! Now we just gotta go shooting!
Thom
Man, this is not what I wanted to hear. Just kiddin'. Glad you like it!
Sweet lookin bow Zradix how you liken the thumb rest.
Thanks Thom.
Heck yeah. I'd love to see that Sas of yours sizzle some arrows down range.
Scott, definitely liking the thumb rest.
I sent a tracing of my hand ,a pic of my high wrist grip and Dan made the bow fit.
The thumb rest just is certainly an integral part of the design of the grip. It really pulls everything together for an easily repeatable grip on the bow.
...oh...I like the way it looks too..lol
Great looking bow!
Thanks for the info on the thumb rest, how does that length bow feel at 29in draw ? I have a little longer draw [29.25-29.5] and have been lookin at Dans bows for some time now. I didnt know if the 62" bow would work or just go to a 64".
:goldtooth:
Nice! Dan and Jared make Be-U-tiful bows and they are top-notch folks too. Definitely a great investment, well worth the price and you know it when it's in your hand! Mine is in the upper right corner of this page as of right now, that's me and "MTB" my Ebony/DArk Myrtle Whip, just got her last year after visiting Dan and Jared in MT for the second time. Your's is a beauty, no doubt!
yankeevol--how do you like the Big Jim Quiver? I was just looking at quivers yesterday for my whip. Also, what size quiver did you get and do you shoot the bow with it on?
Zradix--you are a lucky so and so and I am too!
Enjoy!
Looks GOOD!!!
Good pic Tom. Nice bird!
I like the camo look to your limbs.

I draw 29" and have shot his 62" and 64" Whips a lot. A 62" will work for you, but you'll be happier with a 64". It will be silky smooth and a bit more stable...the extra 2" are worth it.
edit: hope I didn't imply that there was anything negative with a 62"....just realized the OP's is a 62". It was JMHO that the 64" was a bit smoother/stable for me. I actually just sold a 62" that I'll probably regret. It was just too heavy for me.

Hi Scott.
It feels really good to me at 29.25"
That's my actual draw.
I'm not feeling hardly any pinch at all.
The string angle at your fingers feels like about any other 62" r/d bow.
I sure can't feel any stack at all.
In all honesty, it draws so smooth it forces you to learn a consistent anchor. There just isn't any easily discernible stack to clue you in to being at your draw.
This bow is about 1" longer than my 62" Savannah.
I don't know if my Sav is a little short or if this bow is a little long..( maybe a combo of both )
If you're looking to go to 64" for smoothness of draw and lack of stack there is no need.
If you're thinking you want less angle at your fingers, longer length always helps there. Not many ways around that with the same style of bow.
Personally, I know a loooonger bow would be more comfortable to shoot.
BUT.. I wouldn't want to go any longer in my hunting bow because I hunt from the ground and shoot kneeling sitting on my heels often.
Any longer and I'd have to be too mindful of my lower tip hitting the dirt than I'd care for.
Thanks Zradix looks like another new bow in my near furture
I have an HS also and just can say X2 on what has already been said.
That is an awesome bow!!! I should be recieving mine in the next couple of days   ! Dan was great to talk to and how about that wait time, Holy cow, that is quick!!!
I own a 66" classic whip and a couple of 62" classic whips. If I had to keep only one, it would be a 62" bow, I draw 29"s and there is no downside whatsoever with the 62" bow.
I have a 62" Super D and although it's "the one", I can see a classic whip in my future. I just don't see how I can get away from the idea.
THEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEN I will be finished buying bows, NO REALLY! :bigsmyl:
