Just wanted to give credit where credit is due. I have saved and waited for a custom bow for some time. It was suggested to me to wait till the Kansas Bowhunters Assoc meeting in March to meet with Mike Dunneway at Wild Horse Creek Bows. I was told Mike would have some bows at the convention and I would get a taste of what he had to offer. Best decision I have made since switching to traditional archery 3 yrs ago. I ordered a Kestral hybrid longbow from Mike back in March. Several weeks ago Mike called me to come to his shop to be fitted for the new bow. I received the new bow last week and have gotten it tuned and ready to go. It is a sweet shooting bow, pulling 50# at 28". It has a cocobolo/osage orange riser with red elm limbs. Beautiful. I highly recommend Mike to anyone wanting a beautiful and functional hunting bow.
Congrats on your new bow  Cant wait to see some PICS :archer:
Congrats, it's like a kid I Christmas morning.
Mike makes some really nice bows. Did You get the matching footed arrow also?
Mine is cocobolo/osage too! Great minds think alike! Post pictures if you can. See you at his customer appreciation shoot next year if not before.
I have a Kestral also, met Mike several years ago at a MO Bowhunter expo, and saved pennies and got one. His customer service is the best. You will love the bow.

Mike is top notch. His bows are beautiful and are shooters. I have 3 of them including a 2pc. My brother 3 of them including the bow he won last month at his shoot.
I have two of Mike's bows. Love them.
Too many folks have not yet had an opportunity to shoot one of his bows. It is a shame. They are dandies.
I shot my first WHC bow at Compton's a couple years ago. If he is there this year, everyone should try one of his bows.
I have two of Mikes bows also. They are great shooting bows and great looking bows. A Hawk T/D longbow I have had for long time is my go to bow. And Mike and Suzy are just great people.
Mike makes a great shooting bow. I got my WHC at the KBA a few years ago. Happy hunting.
Will have to eyeball them at the Wakarusa shoot
Mike is a great guy and a top notch craftsman. Funny thing, I live sorta between his shop and The Nocking Point. Both owned by nice guys named Mike... :)
