I know what I'm getting if I buy a Widow. Great bow, great custmer service, prety much all you could ask for. With the Palmer all I realy know is I'm getting a great bow but I don't know about service, and dose Mike pretty much keep up with his estimated lead time?
Get the Widow, you already answered your question.
Widow without a doubt
If you're ordering a new bow, the Black Widow customer service is unparalleled. If your buying used, both are great bows. Widows hold there resale value better, and so sometimes you can find a Palmer for a good deal.
Hope this helps.

Widow for sure
Widow, thats an easy choice and I have had both.
I have an older (12 years) MAII that I have a love/hate relationship with. The bow is smooth and I am able to hit with it however I had to really work to get it quiet. Before I gave up and just used a Dacron string the noise for me was unbearable. It's pretty quiet now and has been my go-to bow for many years. I understand the new Widows are quieter.
In other words get a Black Widow and don't look back.

Own two Widows. Great bows, great customer service, and a short wait for your new bow.
Widow!
Owned both and would pick the Widow ten out of ten times(reason I sold the Palmer)
If good/exellent service is a demand the answer is easy:WIDOW
Widow it shall be.
They are both great bows. However the Palmer will most likely be several months or more overdue past the date when you expect it.
Widows customer service is incredible, Mike's not so much.
I would get a Widow and I have a Palmer. Widow's customer service is beyond reproach.
Widow. As an added bonus, the wait for a Widow is much, much less than for a Palmer.
Widow
I would put Widow as one of the finest out there. All though I have dealt with Mike Palmer in the past and had no issues. Make sure to shoot them both of possible, it's a lot of money to throw down on a new bow. Make sure the equipment fits you not the popularity. This is coming from a die hard Widow customer.
Big Ed
Given those two choices Palmer is a great bow; but all in all the Widow is perhaps a better choice for you.
Widow offers a trial program; no excuses for you not to shoot one a lot if you have not already.
Widow for sure
-there's a Traditional Slam Palmer in the St. Judes forum #3 right now.
I love my Palmer bows. I've tried a lot of bows including widows and for me the Palmer just shoots better.
Love my Palmer it just flat out shoots. I think its apples to oranges with the two bows. A different feel from the Widow to the Palmer. Thats what makes the world go 'round, different strokes...
Palmer is a better bow, especially considering the cost of a Widow. Definitely faster and a better grip. I have ordered 3 new bows from Palmer, he usually is in the ballpark with delivery times but it's worth the wait. Mike builds every bow so he's not like Widow and building them on a production scale so you can't compare that. I've sent bows back to Mike for repair and he's done everything to my satisfaction. He might not be the most charming person around, but he is honest and hasn't screwed anyone I know.
There are several used like new Palmers in the classifieds if you need one right away.
either one will do you a great job but I have to lean towards the BW. I have one of the short rizer ones that is the finest bow I have ever shot

after readying this i really feel like i need to shoot a widow :)
Widow, pure performance
Widow did I say Widow did I forget to say widow !!!! Palmer is a good bow I guess I never shot one I do like there grip I have held one but I love my Widows and they have some of the best customer service even if your not the first one to own it Hands down not a question in my mine WIDOW. Widow
For what it's worth both are great bows...Mike's are worth the wait. Again, that's just me.
If you are talking new, Widow is definately the way to go. TheWidow Works dudes are among the finest on the planet and that goes a long way with me. Their customer service is among the best in the business and their product is top-shelf.
I have only had one Palmer. I bought it used and it was an absolute dream to shoot, but it was LOUD! Never could quiet that bow down. I would probably buy another used Palmer some day.
The answer would likely be most discernable if I could shoot each thru your hands.
I'll second what Big Ed said. I've shot Widows for 17 yrs. I always got the standard grip. I shot one with a different grip that they offer, and that fit me much better. You can "test drive" a Widow
Love my Widow!
Definitely the Palmer. Better grip and better performance
I purchased 2 new Palmers about 10 years ago and still have them. I've had no problems at all and they shoot just as good today as they did then. They are fast and accurate and the grips are really good too.
I recently purchased a used PCH V and I must say that that bow is a great shooting bow. It's plenty fast and very forgiving of my shooting flaws. It's also very accurate and pulls really smooth too.
I bet you would be very satisfied with either one.
Good luck with your decision.
