I have a new Classic Hunter and I recently took this picture while in the woods after turkeys. I think the gray and black color combination really blends well with the gray trees....whadaya think?

Where is it? I can't even see it :bigsmyl:
Yeah, it does. Don't forget where you lean it!
Beautiful combination, Ron.
does it have a string on it?? good camo
The quiver is a new flat hood prototype by Eagles Flight that Don Ward sent to me to try. It holds 4 broadheads and a judo/blunt. It spreads the fletching well so they are not crowded. With the wing attachment it fits my bow very nicely, I really like it, I'm going to order some for stock with the Shrew Logo on the hood.

Awesome! Thanks Ron
I like it.
Is that the new quiver from EFA for two blade broadheads!!!!!!!!!!
Wow! I just know my older Shrew would look good next to a new one...especially a gray and black Classic with a Eagle Flight quiver.
It may be time to improve the herd, rather than thin the herd.
Great bow Ron! Thanks for sharing.
Lyle
Lookin good! :clapper:
Love the bow, Quiver and Fletchings.Really like the flat style quiver. Is there room in that puppy for some Simmons heads?RC

There sure is, I've got 2 Simmons heads, an Ace Super Express and a Tuffhead in the quiver, with a judo in a piggy back.

Hmmm, not sure where the black part comes into play, but every time I show a picture of Ron to my 10 and 12 year old daughters, they say "isn't that one of those guys from the American Revolution with the fake grey wigs.
We have worked several years now to make a sheath type of bow quiver for two blade broadheads. There were several people who had ask us about making one, finally it's a reality. It's a 4 + 1 arrow quiver that weighs with the totem and wing about 9 - 9.5 oz.
The few who have tested the quivers for us have given them high marks. We had planned on having them before now but the die cutter screwed up. Now we are ready to have at it. Ron will get the first batch which will be dark brown or black. He ought to have them early next week.
Great looking bow Ron.
Anyone have any idea what percent of Shrew hunters use 2 blade broadheads?
Looks great, blends well
Sweet rig!
Sweet looking bow Ron !!! What are the specs ???
Bill
Very nice Ron, Don't have pics, but my new to me GN Bushbow will pluck a Turkeys backside at 20 yds. Can't believe how sweet it shoots. It's greet when we find a bow we can trust to call our turkey bow. Congrats
Nice looking bow Ron. I thought it was a Kanati quiver, till I saw the second picture.
That is a nice bow, just dont sit it down in the dark.
I know there is one similar called a "SlimJim", will this one be called the "PortlyRon"? :D ;)
I like last years deer bow better, I will be taking it south for some hogs shortly. :)
This quiver looks somewhat like another one but that's just at first glance. Anytime you have a quiver holding two broadheads side by side they will have a somewhat similar silhouette. However they are very different. Ours is a 4+1 (5 arrow) quiver that uses our "totem" and "wing" systems.
As of today we haven't come up with a name for them. I believe that Ron has already got a name for the ones he gets with the shrew on it. You'll have to ask him what it is.
Hey Ron, great looking classic hunter. I'm on the list. What are the woods used? Also will you have dark brown and black Both of the new EFA shrew thin quiver?
Turkeys beware
Beautiful bow.
As for the quiver, I love EFA's. How 'bout the EFA "Flathead"?
"Flathead"... does have some merit.
Hey Don, let me know when you have the new quiver up on your site.
I really like that whole setup! Sweet quiver too! I might have to get one of those since I'm shooting the Simmons a lot now.
Nice!!!
Don,
I'm liken' that quiver cause I use my two blade hand forged tppit heads. It really dresses up the Shrew. Will you have any at Denton??
I'm already a "dyed in the wool" shrew shooter...tippit
KSShrewman, it may be a while before they are listed on our website. Ron is the fastest way to get one, and that shrew image looks good on them.
Tippit, we should have them at Denton. I like that idea of hand forged heads. Do you make any extra to trade?
Ron, I'm still trying to find a used Shrew bow of about 42-45#. Some of my buddies have them but in 50-60#. They sure are hard to find.
My buddy, Doug Burns, and I just ordered a couple of these quivers to take to Australia with us to hunt buffalo in July. We will be using the new VPA 2 blade offset single bevel broadheads that should fit nicely into the "Flathead". The quivers will be mounted onto two beautiful Shrew Safari bows that were designed after consultation between Ron LaClair, Gregg Coffey, Andy Ivy and me. The Safari model has Asiatic Water Buffalo horn on the back of the grip and the tips, along with beautiful exotic wood veneers and bamboo/carbon/mystery/uniweft cores. The Safaris also have BowBolts that turn them into two piece bows that travel well in tubes that can be stowed in our checked duffel bags for transportation on planes and in vehicles. Here is the information on Doug's Shrew Safari. http://tradgang.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=1;t=105711#000000 Mine is similar but with Koa veneers as opposed to Doug's waterfall bubinga veneers. The Flathead quivers will be customized with two colors of leather on each to coordinate with our respective Safari bows. I think this will be the perfect equipment combination. I will also take along the EFA 5 Arrow Navaho Chief quiver I used last year in Oz so that I can have the option of carrying a quiver full of VPA Terminator 300 grain 3 blade broadheads if I so choose.
Allan
Excellent work Ron and Gregg, love that look!
Aint that purrty. Love it Ron and Greg.
The bows that Allan described are drop dead gorgeous. Looks like we will have to spend some extra effort to make two quivers worthy of them.
Looking forward to getting those quivers, Don. I know they will be just the ticket for our Shrew Safari bows.
Allan
Allan, this is what it'll look like.
