I have a Bitz set up to do my carbons but it uses a Easton CB bushing for the index. This is a set up I bought at the NFAA indoor nationals a few years back and can't remember the guy that was selling this setup. I want to set up a fletcher for wood arrows and traded my extra Bitz, not very smart. I use fletching tape so a mono fletcher is all I need. I am thinking about the Jojan or the Bohning pro fletcher. Any input on these would be appricated. I would just get another Bitz, but don't need to spend that much, right now. Thanks, Don
Both of those jigs are popular with a lot of people. I think it would come down to personal preference.

BITZ FOE ME
I would go with the JoJan multifletcher. I use tape on it and you can do 6 arrows in 10 minutes using this fletcher.
I was thinking the Jojan but only need a mono as fletching tape only takes about 2 seconds to bond the feather. A Bitz would be great if I could find one for 40.00 :D . Anyone use the Bohning? Thanks, Don
BPE is my favorite. Jojan would be my choice out of the 2 you listed.
BPE is BEST
I like BPE
I picked up one of the Bohnings on clearance a couple of years ago. At the time I was shooting compounds primarily and just needed something for spot repairs so I didn't want to spend a lot of money.I have fletched multiple carbons and at least 3 or 4 dozen woodies since that time, with everything from 2" Blazers to 5+" traditional cut natural turkey feathers, and it has worked great for all applications. I worked as an "archery tech" at Gander Mountain for a couple of years and all we used was the Bitzenburger. IMHO the only major differences between the Bitz and the Bohning is the material they are made from and obviously the price. They actually function in very much the same way and both turn out a quality fletch as long as you take your time and get everything lined up properly.
The Jo-Jan comes in a mono and multifletcher. I've had my JJ multifletcher for decades and love it.
Take a look at the Bearpaw jig--having great results with it.

Plus the options of 3,4 and 6 fletch with just the push of a switch.
I only have a JoJan and I love it

I do not use tape but I do love my Jojan multifletcher.

JoJan multifletcher, I have been using it for over 20 years. I have 3 of them. Left, right and straight. Had a Bitz years ago and sold it.
I use a bitz. Back in the day when I had to fletch a ton of arrows I
used a Jojan and liked it.
Is there another jig besides Bitz? Not in my house for lots and lots of years.

Me too!
I tried fletching a few arrows with my buddies JoJan multifletcher with helical clamps. It did a nice job but put more twist then I like. You can adjust it to put a little less but then the feather won't be sitting perfectly on the shaft. I have a BPE pro that puts a bit less twist on the feather. It does a nice job and has alot of adjustment. If you like alot of twist then the JoJan would also be a good choice.
JoJan multifletcher ..
Bearpaw and happy.

I tried jo-jan at a bow shop where I volunteer as a bow tech. I put it at number 3 of 4 types I've tried. Here are my order: #1 is the bitz,I've used them from aluminum-carbons-flu flu, to wood. They are all I'd own if I could afford them. #2 on my list is the bohning types, I own 5 of them and they take a beating and are affordable. My number 4 is the arizona ez fletch, good if you are in a hurry or taking one on a trip, you have to be careful of equal placement of fletchings from the nocks.
any and all of those fletchers will more than get the job done. there is no pressing need for a big dollar bitz - not any more these dayze. a polycarb bohing pro or grayling and a roll of fletch tape and yer good to go with any kinda arrow shaft or finish. no one can tell the difference 'tween a bitz and bohning fletch job on an arrow. and the bohning plastic will last as long, if not longer, than the tarnished metal bitz.
to put my above statements in rational perspective, money is NO object to me when it comes to fletching jigs, and i've had them ALL. i currently fletch with 2 bohnings, a grayling and a very old martin j8. each jig is set to work with a different style arrow shaft and fletching. i don't even own a bitz anymore and i've had at least 8 at one time. i always fletch with fletch tape - fletching glue is only used to "spot" the fletch ends. fletch tape is a god send.
Had an old Grayling for years. Couldn't get enough helical on it. Maybe the new ones are better in that dept. I just this year bought a Jo-Jan, it's ok but has its issues. Don't like how the reciever doesn't hold my nocks very securely. Really need to watch them so they stay in there properly. I'd like to try a Bitz some day. Most the pro fletchers use them for some reason.
Bitz is what i like.
i prefer jojan, blitz are ok, but once the jojan racks are set for the best feather connection, you'll see how much simpler it is to use, gravity is never out of adjustment or placement, magnets sometimes are.
I like my BPE. I've fletched a lot of arrows with it and never had a problem. I also use fletching tape.Three rivers sells them for around $50 or so.
