After two years of following Vince's "following" - reading (mostly between the lines) I finally pulled the trigger on a Mohawk, specifically Vince's new Sparrowhawk longbow.
There are two people among many here at TG that command respect for their knowledge and overall contributions to our wonderful addiction.
Rob D has given me a lot of helpful info in the past...I have a analytical way of looking at life and Rob can easily feed the need for data, subjective, objective, and otherwise.
RC holds the other card...he has terrorized the swamplands of the Georgia with amazing and consistent taking of game.
Both of these guys will tell you without hesitation that their 'Hawk is #1.
Armed with this information, I called Vince and a month later I received a package.

Vince, thanks for taking the time with me - the end result is a keeper!
In about 20 minutes I get to spend the afternoon getting to know her....with any luck at all, we'll make meat this fall.
Very nice Tony
Ol'Vince sure knows his craft!
How do you like that skinny handle?
Eric
Any bow that looks that good must be a shooter!
Congratulations!!
It would be impossible to go wrong with a "Hawk"!
(just ask RC)
God bless,Mudd
Hey Eric,
The handle is a handfull LOL! And I have real big paws.
I send Vince a sketch with dimensions and photos. He made me a comfy "dish" that works just fine.
A very nice bow. I love Mohawks.
Here is a pic comparing my Half Breed limbs to those of the Sparrowhawk.

Very nice........you will have fun shooting with that one!!
If that bow were 10# lighter, I'd trade you my whole bag of marbles for it. I love my Sparrowhawk too :)
I have really enjoyed my mohawk as well. My dad loved it so much I gave it to him for christmas. One of the best bows I have shot. Enjoy and awesome wood combo...is that bocote and cocobolo?
Nice lookin' SparraHawk!
How does it shoot?
Enjoy!
Shoot straight, Shinken
:archer2:
Easy on the eyes! Good choice!
Very fine bow. Love those Mohawks. I`ve not shot the Sparrow Hawk yet but It has to be sweet.Congrats.RC
Nice hawk!!!
Real nice.
Very nice!
Finally got a chance to shoot her. I'm trying to draw a comparison to other bows but that is not an easy task. She is uniquely quick and soft in the hand...much more so in both attributes than the r/d bows I made several years ago.
This Sparrowhawk is a keeper. Just plain fun to shoot and so very forgiving to minor form error. She has a good portion of the stability that the Hill shooters love plus a lot more.
As I find more time to shoot, the real personality of the Sparrowhawk will become evident....for now it is good enough to say "dandy". :archer:
