Well I will take you thru a step by step of the opening of my new bow. Sorry no pics of me drawing it yet, but I will try to get them here.
The Package

Starting to pull it out. And to my surprise a polar fleece bow sock, which was not mentioned when i bought it. AWSOME

Here it is. And so light I think I have been bamboozeled. There is no way this is a bow.

Removing the sock, and Oh I actually giggled, I mean really giggled like a 6 y/o school girl giggled. The glass was prettier than I could have imagined.

The gentle curve of the mild D/R. This is what has been calling me.

Just enough character in the wood, yet overall a dark bow that screams business.

Fully braced and ready for action. The shape that makes kids minds run wild, and adults relive their youth. Robin Hood, Howard Hill, Will Treaty, scouring the wilderness hunting for survival.

the good end of the bow. Dont stand in front!!!!!

A nice touch, also pretty enough to cause the deer to stop and admire it long enough for me to get a shot.

Well, that was my journy to opening my first "new" bow. It was thrilling, exciting and a little nerve racking comming from a recurve. Wondering if ill be able to make the transition to longbow. I have shot maybe 50 arrows through her so far, and I am loving it.
She draws like a 40# bow, but she is 56#@28 66" long. A little thump in the hand, but I like it. Kinda like feedback on what I am doing right or wrong. She throws and arrow like its no bodys business. I mean buries it in the target.
Super light in the hand, the grip seems no bigger than the handle on a louiville slugger. Very slight locater in the handle. the leather is sooooo soft.
I shoot 3 under with my recurve, but this green beauty doesnt seem to like it for some reason. But 3U is what I am familar with. I have been shooting it split and 3U to see what I may like the best. There is some getting used to, but I think after a couple of weekends together we will get acclimated to each other.
Thank you for comming along with me on this journey
Very nice Brian
