After attending my daughter's dance competition this morning, I was planning on hitting the local 3D course by myself. Well, Gwen begged to come along and I thought she'd just tag along as in the past...but this time she wanted to bring her own bow and arrows and have a go. My expectations were low as she's still growing into her St. Joe River bow, but she surprised the heck out of me! At 8 yards she hit the first five targets and even after getting a bit winded proceeded to score foam roughly 75% of the time.
I'm one proud daddy, not just because she shares my interest, but she's found something she truly enjoys and we just have a blast together!
She's not to full draw here, but looking pretty good

These are actually my arrows, and while not a great group they were shot at 45yds, then 35yds, then 25yds...so I was happy.

This is the first time I've had a picture of myself at full draw. Shooting a 54" TimberHawk.

Thanks for letting me share.
I love her form and her St Joe River bow is beautiful in it's pink shades. My 2 1/2 year old granddaughter is shooting her longbow also. When she gets older I will get her a St. Joe River bow like this one. Ken

And for any of you parents that think girly girls can't be hunters, this was Gwen earlier in the day, taking a Gold Medal, a First Place, and a Fifth Place overall at a large dance competition.

That is outstanding, congrats on haveing such a multi-talented daughter.
Great to hear! My daughter danced for 15 years and my son played soccer/baseball until he got involved in music. Neither are bow shooters but both give dad a run for his money shooting pistols at 25 yards!
Too cool!
Awesome! Enjoy your new shooting partner! She sure has a nice looking bow!
