Should make a beautiful bow.
That should make a beautiful bow, what wood is that?
looks like Black & white ebony.
Tough stuff to find without mortgaging your house to buy it.
They look very cool .never seen that before
Jim, beautiful veneers but too light for my tastes. Stained darker would be killer.
Will they go on a Banshee or Siren and what's the possibility they could get to Mccalla Al. in a few weeks?
Beautiful!
Nice!!!

possomhead, its going to baltimore in 2 weeks, but if it doesnt sell, it will be at the howard hill shoot. its gonna be a 60" siren. shooting for 48-50#.

Spalted wood is beautiful. Good choice, should turn out tom be beautiful.
Very nice! Please post some pics of some finished bows.
Looks awesome.
Love the character but would like to see some more color to them.
Character is great, but they do need a bit more color.
That is some killer spalted Jim.
As I am sure you know, it will darken a bit when glued. I did a spalted maple bow with just a hint of hickory brown stain washed over the top and it was relly cool. The light staining really set off the spalt lines.
Can't wait to see your bow.

Very nice! Looking forward to seeing the finished bow in Baltimore
#1 of both sets of pics(lower one) looks like a pointed arrowhead(on right) when laying beside each other.cool
Pretty and dramatic. The thing that's so nice about maple is how you can do just about anything you want with it on color. Very nice.
Looking forward to seeing it before Stinger does.
Killdeer :biglaugh:
here are some more pics. the veneers are a little darker after glueup.
