Good luck Kenny...hope your arrow finds a nice tom.
I'm working so I won't get out until Wed morning when I get home. Then...Thurs/Fri should find me sitting in a blow down trying to work a tom in.
Good Luck Guys :archer2:
Our second season (mine) opened today, already got the 0-1 pitch behind me, foul ball, about a 1.5" low.
Aim small...real small!!

Tomorrow isn't here yet........... :dunno: :nono:
well i was seated high on the ridge with the rain just pouring down at 5am! i figured i could take the pain for a little while as i had the day off from work and wanted to give it a go no matter what. i am a firm believer in you have to pay your dues and i was cashing checks this morning! :readit: NO gobbles at all while i sat there but did have a hen walk right by me so i knew the birds are where they should be. raining so hard i could not keep my pipe lit so around 7:30 i got up to stretch my legs. wouldn't ya know it about 100 yards away there stands ole "Big Medicine" in full strut! :readit: on the way out heard one gobble in the low lands but just could not work him in, at the point my fearthes looked like they were about an inch long glued to the wrrow, i gained about 10 pounds wearing wool as well! hope to get a chance at him this weekend with a few friends all using bow. :archer:
refueling at moms, headed home to changes clothes and arrows then back after them by my house!
Good luck guys! And try to stay dry!!!!
I'll be thinking of you while I'm slaving away at work!
Being retired I deiced to wait till tomorrow and hunt dry. Ken you have to invest in some rain gear! :smileystooges: I would rather be dry than wet any day!!
Good luck bro, thanks for sharing!
called in a hen by the house, thats enough for today...
Time to dry off! Get lunch and try again tomorrow. Good luck guys.
Maybe you can get big medicine to take a pill in the morning.
today was the only day i have off...
Wet here too. Did see a real nice Tom & he was trailing a hen all the way. Just when I thought maybe she would bring him in she turned & lead him onto posted property. Game over today. Back out in the morning. Good luck everyone.
I was tucked away in my pop up blind..iknow...I still got wet though. I had birds gobbling on the roost at dawn, until it started pouring. They were the last gobbles I heard. I had a lone hen come by, but that was it.
Good luck every one. I'll be at it again tomorrow morning.
Had to be in court this morning so I never got after em til 10:50. After about a 100 yard hike from the truck I heard them gobbling right where I figured them to be. I moved to within 80 yards of the field edge and caught glimpses of 3 gobblers.
They came as close as 70 yards but my hypnotic gaze failed to turn them my way and they continued on down the field edge, right past where I had intended to set up and wait before their gobbling lured me in their direction.
Tomorrow is another day. :banghead:
