Shot a "tournament" at Scarborough Renaissance Faire today and won! Shot a 123 out of a possible 150. Granted we were shooting 60cm targets at 16 yards, but a win is a win :) 3 rounds of 5 arrows with a pecan backed osage selfbow and sitka spruce shafts (feathers by magnus). First round 34, followed by a 45 in round 2, and 44 in round 3. It's actually the second one I've won this season, the first was with a 113. I was pretty pleased considering I did it with 2 different bows. The first bow was a hickory backed oak which shot great, unfortunately the hickory backing splintered. Fortunately the bowyer (Kee's Longbows) stands behind her product and replaced it with the pecan backed osage which I got 6 hrs before the tournament and set up in the faire parking lot.
Congrats on your win!
Cool!!!
I'm still pretty new to the trad way, been shooting exclusively trad for about the last year. Still learning, but its a nice confidence boost that I'm doing something right. Thanks guys, Cory
Way to go Cory!
