Ive heard tell about it but never experienced it till now. Waiting for a new bow to be built. What agony and it has only been a week since I ordered it. Not only that but my wait time is weeks not the months or more some have had to wait. I don't know how they do it. I was trying to sell at least one bow to help pay for it but then so there was the remorse of trying to decide which of my 2 arms to cut off. Turkey season starts May 1 st so till then I'll apparently be unbearable to live with. My better half finally took matters into her hands ( bless her). We've been married for 25 years this past February but were out of the country and decided we'd celebrated when we got back ( which just happened) she said she would get me the bow for our 25 th. Which leaves me back to just the waiting, ( and keeping myself from the phone so I don't pester my Bowyer or it will take him a year). I'm going through a range of more emotions than I even thought I had ( I'm afraid if I go to the Dr. He'll diagnose it as menopause ) and have me on a hormone replacement regimen. The sad part is this is week one. Many of you know what week 2 will bring but I'd rather not know but I'll post it next week so others will know what to expect when ordering a bow ( and be more prepared than I was) It's not for the faint of heart.
I never imagined building a bow could be so hard.
I'm sure hoping you did not order your bow from one of the guys that has a 14 month wait period for delivery!!!! (Oops! I see from re-reading your post that this is not the case...)
Don't worry Grasshopper. This too shall pass, and you enjoy the fruit of your wait for a l-o-n-g time! ;)
I've been waiting 5 weeks so far. It feels like 5 years, so I understand.
If you think this is bad, wait until you get the message "out for delivery". Those are the REALLY PAINFUL few days!
I don't think it matters much whether it's your 1st bow or your 50th.
The wait is the hardest part.
God bless,Mudd
Maybe it would be easier to drive halfway across the country and meet her proper like at the door. :dunno:
Oh my, it's stressful. My hair was all brown before I started ordering trad bows....or wait a minute that actually coincidentally was around the same time I got married!!! :dunno:
I'm feeling the same right now. I hope chasing turkeys this week helps. A good problem to have though.

Tic toc, tic toc, tic toc. Just like Hunting Brother we have Patience, right.
Ask the Rowan brothers for help... they should be able to counsel you on how to get through this kind of pain.
I know how you feel! I ordered two months ago and have 10 months to go. It's a painful thing to wait but I know it will be worth it. Abe Penner with Cari-bow is building my bow and I know I've already begun to be a pest :) Good luck with your bow and enjoy.
3 more months on my Kanati but it'll be worth it!

I'm finding a bottle of antacid and breathing into a paper bag is helping. :coffee: :coffee: :coffee: :coffee: :coffee: And coffee of course
Good grief....
Waiting never, ever gets any easier. When this happens to me, I think of the movie, "The Outlaw Josey Wales" where Chief Dan George says, "Endeavor to persevere."
Gets me every time.... :bigsmyl:

Just found out today they missed weight on mine and it will be three more weeks. Thankfully, I'm beginning to go numb now!
Ouch, I feel your pain, remember it helps to talk about it. :help:
