The blems are cosmetic. They are only available on ocasion. They are very popular.

It is my understanding that the specs are the same, just cosmetic issues and the word blemishes om the less expensive ones, spine, weight, straightness all the same, I just recieved a dozen, no worries. got em from Big Jim. If he sells them, they are a good product

"Blems" is short for "Blemished." They have minor scratches or other issues with the coating.

So, what BigJim said, but seeing you're from Portugal, I thought a little more explaining might help.

Thanks to all, or Obrigado as we say.

Yes, sometimes slang English or technical words give me a hard time, so thank you eminart, it helped a lot.

BigJim, have you heard about GT Heavy Hunter? Or other member's. Anyone?

I have both and is difference in flight. Just minor difference in looks that you can hardly notice. I wish the blems were available more often.

I have a little spine difference between the one dozen first quality shaft and the last couple dozen blems I have had. Not a big difference, but I have them cut different lengths to tune. I could only see it in bare shaft flight.  Thought it was maybe my imagination until I had two of each spine tested at a trad shop.

With that said, I love blems and wouldn't even have the nicer ones if I had not picked them up on flea bay for the same cost as blems.

More often than not you can cover up the blemished portion  with a wrap.

Have notice some spine and weight difference. Don't think they are quite as consistent as traditionals, but I never expected them to be.

I have ordered sweveral Blem's from Big Jim and the Blemish is so minor that it hardly counts, but I'm glad it does.. for clairification there are no blems in the structure of the arrow its all cosmetic...

Does he only sell the blems w/fletching? I tried to order some and couldn't buy just the bare shafts.

I like the blems shafts... I just got some blems from BIG JIM'S and the only way I could tell that they're blems is that "blems" is written on the arrow along with the GT label. They are the same specs as the GT Traditional, there is a few grains difference Trads vs black or camo.

Kook68, we sell them as shafts or fletched. I don't know what was up when you tried to purchase. Maybe we were out of those shafts, but when purchasing, there is supposed to be a box that asks custom fletched : yes/no

If anyone has any trouble with the site, please call and we'll help how we can.

Thanks All!

Pretty much all I shoot now is the Blems I get from Big Jim.
