Title: Going Turkey Hunting this AM
Post by: Three Finger on April 17, 2012, 05:39:00 AM
I'm heading to the woods with my Mohawk longbow this morning. Can't wait to get out there. I talked to the land owner last night and she told me right where they are roosted. Now lets see if I can get it done. Good luck to all you turkey hunters out there.

LOL. I don't know what happend earlier. I went out a little too late and there was a Tom where my setup was. So I set across the field and tried to call him in. Had a few hens with him and he wasn't coming. They headed back into the woods so I tried to cut them off at another small field but got busted instead. I really had fun out there running and gunning or bowing. I am currently working on my ghillie suit should be done in a few days. Can't wait to get back out there. I did see a big owl fly down a creek and I was on the bank. I could have touched him with my bow limb he came by soo close. It was beautiful. I really like those preditor birds. Had a great time in the woods every time I go. Even if I don't bring something home.
Thanks
Jeff
