I got to talk to Mike Westvang at Denton Hill this weekend. Beautiful bows for sure and a great guy to visit with. I'm still amazed at the talent of the individuals in our fold. This is a great time to be a stick bow archer as there is no end to great products out there; and, a large number of it made by our cohorts.
Nice visiting with you Mike. George
Got to finally meet and talk with Mike as well - real nice feller and what beautiful bows!
You fellers should try his cooking :bigsmyl:
I got one of his bows this year (Hunter Bamboo/Osage)and it is a beauty! Fast and quiet. I will post a pic of it when I have it leaning against somthing other than my back porch.
Now don't go giving him too big of a head. His sweat band won't fit and Connie has enough to do already.
Seriously - Good folks!
Talked to Mike on the phone today. He let me know what a great time I missed at Denton Hill. He was in Tennessee headed toward Memphis and traveling hard to get home. Told him to be safe because we would not want anything to happen to him now. I'm pretty sure we will hear from him on site tomorrow. Just thought I'd let you'll know.
4runr, Graybeard (although he had to shave the beard due to fire dept regs) so I guess he'll be changin' his name to Gray Stach :biglaugh: and I had a great chat with Mike & Jason. Very good folks and some REAL NICE BOWS...Doc
Hey, we made it home late last night and just started to stir this am. It was great to put faces with folks I have talked with for years on the phone and computer. I also got the oppurtunity to see and handle some great gear. Always a treat to get together with so many bowyers and compare notes. Spent some real quality time talking with Gary Davis a couple of mornings and got to talk with so many TradGangers that I don't remember the names.
Great trip!! We'll be back next year for sure.
Mike
