Title: attaching a compound bow quiver to a bag?
Post by: Scott357 on April 15, 2012, 12:42:00 PM
I have an Alpine Archery quiver I would like to attach to a backback or surplus shoulder bag to use to carry arrows for my recurve. This quiver already has holes in it's riser to use with the mounting bracket that is attached to the bow.

I have seen many nice examples of compound bow quivers attched to bags here. I was wondering how you guys make the attachement? Do you just lash the quiver to the bag with string or do you bolt it to the bag somehow?

I dont really like bow attached quivers. When I would hunt with my wheelie bow I would always take that quiver off as soon as I was on stand.

Scott.

Over the years I've accumulated several cloth bags from conferences. Many have web straps with plastic dog clips. I use these shoulder straps on some of my bow quivers and throw them over my shoulder.

I don't carry a backpack all the time so I don't attach the quiver to the pack.

Many times I will just grab my Kwickee quiver and lash it to my day pack. I have a bracket for it attached to my climbing stand so once I get set it is right there handy and quiet. A quiver is nothing more that a way to carry your arrows safely. I really like using the detachable type bow quivers for hunting. Sometimes I even attach them to my bow. LOL

I have used some that are more like an asbell style and attached with a stick of some type.
