Title: Bow Bolt
Post by: LongStick64 on April 13, 2012, 11:24:00 AM
For any that own a bow with the bow bolt, do you have a gap between the 2 parts of the bow. Looking at mine I do see a visible gap and I hadn't really noticed that before.
The gap isn't large by any means, but you could easily slip a credit card between sections.
Thanks
Pete

I have a Shrew Lil Favorite with a bow bolt and it doesn't have any gap at all. I have a bow bolt Samurai on the way and I expect it to be the same.

Also no gap on my shrew. I would call the maker of the bow to see if was normal.

I make antler limb bolts and there is no gap.A picture would help understand what is going on.Also does the bow make any noise when shooting ?

Make sure the male end is seated all the way to the bottom of the socket before twisting the halves to lock.  I t-h-i-n-k it may be possible to be off one "tooth" in the locking mechanism, giving the result you are seeing.

Be sure, too, that there isn't any foreign object in the socket...
