Which begs the question, how long was the wait after you ordered it?

I ordered one and had to wait five wks. Haven't had chance to use much but I think it's gonna be a good purchase. Very light weight.

"Very light weight."  What does that mean exactly?  :)

2 lbs., 5 lbs., 10 lbs. ?

Got one for my birthday a few weeks ago. Great seat! With, le ft to right 14" seat opened back leaning on a tree  18" from back to seat. Weight mine is currently loaded with my turkey gear. Unload I would say 2 - 2.5 pounds. Pm me your email and I'll send you photos. Took it out for a little roving this w weekend barely new you had it on your back while walking. Great seat to shoot from. Can't say enough good about it.

I got the photos Pete thanks!  Looks like a great product, now just to figure out if it's light enough to make it into my backpack kit, or stays in the day hunt role.

Biathlonman, 2.5 lbs is a pretty good guestimate. It's a lot lighter then it looks. Very comfortable. Frames acts as a pac frame. Had it on this weekend for a 1/4+ hike at a 3d course. No problems at all. Good luck with it. Get in in the kit. It would be great to have around your camp.

OK was curious so I weighed mine. 5.6 lbs.
That includes two tennis balls, a cloth sheath for my HIPS bow blind. Sheath is very light weight.
I also added two short pieces of half 1 inch pipe to the top corners. I use this to hang my day one pack on.
So my guess is new weight is just over 5 pounds.
Ron
PS I'm a heavy weight and it works great.

I liked 2.5 a lot better then 5.5 but the 5 lbs. Number sounds a lot closer to what i would have guessed.  Maybe I'll be able to slim it down some, as I fall more into "team skinny."

May be tough to take weight off. Since it's carried like a back pack you don't notice the weight.
I even added a cushion to raise me up and let me sit longer.

For those interested, I just received a PAC seat end of March ordered through the Asbell's site. There are the following phone numbers on the seat and instruction sheet to contact David Waldrop directly.

706.561.7850
706.577.6495

Good luck boys. All I can say, it's a great product.

I emailed Mrs. Asbell  today, she called me back in few minutes and advised that Waldrop had stopped making the current seat.  Since I had ordered my seat in March she was hoping my order would be filled, but she could not get me a date of arrival for the seat.  She advised that Waldrop was supposed to be re-designing the seat.

No worries if you want a seat.  I contacted David directly and got my seat last week, new weight straight out of the box was 4.75lbs.

Great seat, I'm new to the game with this seat but have been shooting from it in the yard to be ready for fall. As far as the weight I'm not taking as much with me as I did for years. The seat on my back seem like it's not even there. With a thermos and my lunch I feel it will be easy to get back to where I want to be with it not being an issue. I rigged up an old day pack to clip on and I'm ready to go!

You are very close at 5 lbs.I weighed mine and got   5 lbs. and 1 oz.I would guess the seats would all be very close to that give or take an ounce or two either way.
