I am thinking on doing a moose hunt next year in Alberta during the rut. Does anyone got any outfitters they have been with and would definately recomend.
Ryk visscher.
Second Ryk. I've guided for him. You will see Moose almost every day. His area has the highest density in Alberta.
truenorthoutfitters.net without a doubt. The guys name is jeff downing and they do a fantastic job and they kill some big moose. They only take a few hunters each year and success is high. They killed a fifty four or fifty six across from camp just a year or two ago. They are only thirty or so miles from the northwest territories and for a canadian subspecies there bulls have a huge average. Spectacular fronts on their mature bulls as well, probably the best fronts I have ever seen on a Canadian moose. Camp is plain and simple but warm tent, dry gear and excellent food and company. Honestly cannot say enough about them.
Chris, at last years MBA convention in Kalispel true north outfitters donated a moose hunt in Alberta you should contact the raffle winner to see how it was. Region 1 rep. Paul Martin could probly tell you who won paulhm@dishmail.net just a thought...
David Bzawy of Alberta wilderness guide service.
See my moose hunt threads on pow wow from last year and and from 2007. David is a trad guy and he knows what it takes to get in close.

Thanks a lot guys, I will check out all of these!
I second Dave Bzawy. Great guy, I've hunted with him twice. Best outfitted hunt I've ever been on.
I was there once with Schlaggerman, and would also recommend Dave Bzawy.
