Title: Mini-Catquiver?
Post by: The Hawk on March 28, 2012, 11:17:00 PM
I have a Badlands Super Day pack that I like for elk hunting and I was thinking of trying a mini-catquiver with it.  Has anyone tried this combo? In hunting elk, I setup and call and then move again if I don't get a responce. I am wondering how the catquiver would be for pulling an arrow out and then putting it back in to move?  Thanks

My exact setup. It works really well for me.
Putting an arrow back in? It CAN be done but it's not easy. That's what I like the Skookum double "quiver" for. The ones in the cat quiver are extras and blunts.

I saw a video from 3Rivers where they demonstrated how to put an arrow back in without removing the quiver, but I haven't been able to duplicate it without a full length mirror. Which I can't seem to get into my pack...

I mount mine on the side of an small ALICE type backpack with rubber bungee straps.  It works great - arrows are easy to get to and replace - and you can sit down without anything hitting.

I have a GN quiver, looking to add a mini cat quiver as well!  Anybody have some more pics of their setups?

Post a pic of my setup in another post recently. It's attached to a Badlands 2200. Secure the top and bottom well, and arrows can be replaced by feel.

Thanks for the posts. I think I'll try mounting the mini-catquiver close and to the right side of the pack's belt like Mike's. Thanks again.
