I love everything about Fred Bear but I am not a collector.I shoot green Bear heads and have a couple of Bear bows and killed my first deer with a K-mag.I have seen pics of his kit from I think in the 70's Knife,File and Stone all enclosed in a nice sheath and always felt like it was a nice bowhunting acc.Fast forward a few weeks ago looking at the sponser class.I see a sheath brand new for sale by Matt Foley handle(cuboodle)I just happened to have a knife that I bought from another tradganger that would work with his kit.I sent my knife and received it today ,it is perfect.Nice quality thick leather, great sewing and a very usable tool which I will use for it's intended purpose.I know the collectors may Po-Po as not orginal but if I had an orginal I would not be able to use it and I will use this one.Kip

Matt is a great guy to work with and has talent.
Very nice.....enjoy!!
Matt's Bowhunter's Kit is great stuff. Myself and a friend now have them and I wear mine all the time. Fred had this designed for a purpose. Enjoy. TM

That's cool!
Very nice!
Hi Kip, Very nice leather work and a very useful tool you have there........Bobby
Great kit, very nice.
Good evening Bobby. Hope you have been well.I know we did not do very good fishing in Canada but improving here in Louisiana caught a few last weekend.Take care Kip
Looks like a Puma brand knife. I used to have one but it's somehow been misplaced. :knothead:
Kip, That's great and a really nice looker. I've got a repo also and I'm just as tickled with it as you! The great thing is you can use it everyday and not feel like you're abusing history!
That is a nice combo. I really like the file handle. I'd like to know how that was done. I tried a piece of curly maple for one of my files, but not quite...
The wood file handle I have seen done, were done in 2 pieces and epoxied on.
That is nice looking and a great tribute to Fred Bear.
That's nice Kip .... REAL NICE!
My handles are done in three pieces I cut the tang shape out of the middle section and glue all three slabs back together after sanding.
Thanks for the nice comments. I like must wanted a user and couldn't see shelling out collector prices for a set that I wouldn't want to take afield.
Looks great Kip, I hope you get to use it alot.
Great work!! Love that Bear style set! Best to you!
