Title: Ghillie suits
Post by: anchorman on March 22, 2012, 07:15:00 PM
I have been thinking about getting me a ghillie suit as I think it would be awesome to take a deer or turkey on the ground using one. My question has anyone ever made one? I saw a article in TB magazine and it gave me the idea to try was wondering if anyone else has done it...Thanks, Lonnie

Last Nov. Cabela's had the leafy ghillie on sale. My Wife got me one for Christmas. I really like it. I've had several deer close using it. I really like mine.
Don't forget a facenet to hide the shine!

I made one this winter. Was so much easier then you think. Took me about 10 hours total. Made a poncho style with a separate hat cover. It was 100 percent easier then I thought.
Craft store decorative fish netting, Some old mesh blind materials ( about 3 yards), a couple old brown tee shirts, 1.5 rolls os 3 ply jute cord, and a yard of old burlap. Make it man.
