Well, I have been awaiting the arrival of my new Maddog bow for several reason's. Number one is that it is a NEW bow! Number two is I love MADDOG bows. Number three is this is serial number one of his new design. The first one sold to tyhe public.
Well, we talked monday and he said he was getting ready to ship it out but made some statements about how "he had done better work" and "I hope you like it". Basically down playing it as being ugly or blotched up. I told him not to worry because I was going to be using it for hunting anyway, etc.... I was thinking how bad can it be knowing he wouldn't send me a pile of junked up looking thing.
I recieved the bow today expecting to find something wrong with it and I have spent no less than one hour going over this thing and have yet to find a flaw in it anywhere. The pics speak for themselves. It is a birch solid riser, stained dark brown, black limbs, 61# at 28" or 58# at 26". And it has the Bible verse I requested on the opposite side of the riser from the sight window.
The bow is marked number 1 because this is the first one being sold of the new design. As you can see from the pic the bow has some wicked lines and performance to match. I have been shooting a recurve for the last several months and the absolutely ridiculious amount of noise it makes when compared to a maddog longbow is unbelievable.
I have always preached a quiet bow but this one is so quiet the first time I shot it me and my step son just laughed because the bow made no noise but that arrow was screamimg down range. :) The arrow sticking into the block target at 20 yards made more noise than the bow. It is so quiet it is funny.
I am very, very, very pleased with this bow. What an outstanding job of craftsmanship and design in one bow. Check it out fellas.
God Bless

Sweet bow!
Very nice!!
Nice, looks like a shooter, love the Bible verse.  God bless.
Looks great, I should be receiving my new Maddog in a couple of weeks. My Maddog MUTT needs a friend.
Nice looking bow!!! Can you post a pic unstrung for us?
Thom
Nice looking bow!! Mike does great work!
profile looks identical to my EE bow. this thing should be really fast
Thanks for the kind words and encouragement Justin.
Thank you forthe great bow.
Here is a pic of the unstrung profile sticknstones. Ain't the most traditional background but most of the walls in my house are wood or a dark color, so it was hard to get the profile against it.
God Bless

Just for the giggles of it. Old model on the left. New model on the right. Easy to see the differences beside one another. God Bless

Maddog creates some wicked bows if I do say so myself... :)
TTT one more time for a great guy and bowyer.
And a little update. This bnew bow is so nice and smooth. It shoots so nice. The brace seems to be about 71/2 which makes for a very friendly longbow. It has very good speed, ecspecially considering I am drawing it only 26 inches.
This bow is something else.
God Bless
Very nice looking!
Justin, great stuff. Could you tell a little more about the design differences between Mike's older design and the newer one? as you know, i just got a new-to-me midsize longbow (of the original design), and it's the best shooting bow i've owned. just wondering if you could highlight the updated design a litte. thanks!
