Most are in Austin.

Maybe a more specific waypoint?  There are alot of pigs near Benjamin.

Austin is in "central", not west, Texas which is loaded with our famous....feral politicians which out numbers the resident Austin feral pig population.    :D

I dated a few in Odessa where i grew up, that was a long time ago, but I imagine there are still some around.

I knew some in El Paso as a kid, too.
Seriously though, last year we were camping around Ft. Davis, and we saw lots of hogs, but I don't know if the ranches around there let folks hunt or not, and the big fires there last spring may have done some damage to the herds.

You aren't going to see any pigs near El Paso.


You need to around the Pecos, Fort Davis, Fort Stockton area.  Odessa. Midland, look where I-10 and I-20 come together.  That's about where you'll find pigs.  

El Paso didn't have any Javalina when I was there.  in the late 80's and mid 90's.
