I have been having a lot of fun learning how to shoot my recurve.
Last night, my 14 year old daughter was in the yard watching me shoot. She is wanting to know when she can have a bow like that?
So I started looking today..
I want to find something she can shoot that wont cost a lot for now.. I want to make sure she really likes the sport before I go all in. lol.
Someone suggested a Rudderbow U-Finish bow as a good starting point. I like the idea of doing the finish work myself.

Does anyone have any experience with these?
Will it be a good shooter for her to learn on?
I'm looking for an inexpensive bow for my daughter as well. I just about decided to get her a cheap fiberglass one until I see how well she likes shooting. But, that bow looks like a good option too.
Maddog archery makes a great line of bows plus kid bows.
Might try 7 lakes longbows, Mike Ballenger is the man who makes them. He has U finish bows at a great price also. I finished one of his bows a few years ago, I love it.
Rudder is a great company and the owners are first rate as far as customer service. My son and I have made a couple of them
Maddog makes great kids bows.
My brother purchased one from Rudderbows. He really is enjoying it. Great customer service

Mike makes a killer bow(both kids and adults) that said. I have shot a samick sage and have to say that for the money they are hard to beat as well.
Thank you for the advice everyone.. Much appreciated!
