I bought a Nifty Self nock tool and just had to try it out this morning, only did the short cut and reinforced with serving under the cut.
Glued a judo on to the other end and fletched it with 5" shield cuts.
Out on the drive way and got sight of a small spott in the snowwall across the street, about 10 yards away, nocked the arrow, a draw and a good release, nice arrow flight and a solid hit!
Had to do some digging to retrive the arrow, made a new shoot at another spott about 10 yards away, close hit.
A nice feeling with the self nock I must say!
Sounds cool, can you post a pic of the arrow and the tool?
I'd like the see such tool as well! :)

The selfnock
Use Shrinktube in the front to prevent tip loss due to arrowshaft breaking
