Title: Safari Tuff Arrowmaster Quiver...How do you carry yours???
Post by: Kevin Hansen on March 15, 2012, 08:53:00 PM
Hello, all.
For over a year now I've used my Safari Tuff quiver and am very pleased with it. It has lots of the features I've always searched for in a back/side quiver. The one thing that I still don't feel I've nailed down with my quiver is exactly how to carry it over my shoulder and how to clip it to my belt. It always seems to be on the verge of sliding around when I kneel to shoot or when I twist around in some other way.  :dunno:
I'm wondering if any of you have suggestions as to how you carry yours, and even better do you have any pictures????
Thanks for the help.
Kevin

I have the same issue.  I added another strap to essentially attatch it like a backpack.  That stopped the slipping and is easy to slip off if you want to bring it to your side.

I carry it just like you show but right handed. I hook the little caribiner through a belt loop to hold the position.

Looks like you and Ben carry it more as a back quiver. I've been using it like a side quiver. Maybe that has been my problem.
The comments and pictures are appreciated.
Any others?
Thanks.

Kevin, mine can slip forward very easily [ less back quiver and more "side quiver "  and carry just as well if I a wearing a back pack

Any pics of anyone attaching it to a smaller camelbak type pack?

I agree with kbetts. Added a waist strap on mine.

I carry mine like Ben also and slip it to a full side position when the need arises such as moving through thick brush.  Now my one complaint is because of the thick brush I hunt in down in the South, I seem to accumulate a lot of trash in the bottom of the quiver things like twigs, leaves, grass, etc...Does anybody have a suggestion to prevent this??

Bowhunter, I know that the new model has an arrow cover that you can use to keep debris/trash. I don't know if you could order just the cover or not. Maybe you could just rigg something similar, hope this helps  :wavey:    :campfire:

I'm shooting full length carbons and with my broadheads on they measure 35.5 inches. Will my fletching be sticking out of the top of the quiver?

I've just ordered one off Rod, and am looking-forward to using it.

I posted these photos on the Hill thread a week or so ago. I slip the strap through the lash-to straps in the shoulder straps of my pack.

Most good packs have similar lash-to straps, so this should work on lots of different packs. This makes the pack and quiver all one unit, and you don't have that strap running across your chest.

I carry it like you do, except right handed. If I take my backpack I strap it on the side of the pack so I can still remove and put arrows into it, I do the same thing if I take a tree stand with me.

Are you saying another shoulder strap? I think so, but want to be sure.
Thanks for the input.

Are you and kbetts talking about the same thing, or is his a shoulder strap? (See my post above.)
Thanks.

If you don't have the fletching cover, yes they will stick out the top. The fletching cover is a good thing to have, in my opinion.
Hope this helps.

Rik,
Great photos! Thanks for the idea of attaching through the shoulder straps of a pack.

Lots of great ideas here, guys. They are all appreciated, and I am learning some options I had not thought of.
