JUST pulled the trigger on a 66" 51# Bob Lee Exotic one-piece long bow in their winter sale which is a SCREAMER. Shedua with birds eye maple under clear glass and leather grip.
Now the clock turns to molasses...
And I better start practicing.
"Honey, uh.. Hun... Well, uh. You know how much money I saved fixing my own snow plow this winter?"
Needs work... But it speeds the clock up some. :bigsmyl:
Pics to come.
:archer2:
Congrats, and sorry for the wait.
I thought you were coming out of the closet or something weird.

just make sure the pics to come are of the bow lol

Well, yeah, pics of bow only. I wouldn't want to break anything.
When you post the pics make sure the bow is leaning against a tree...and not a pole
In all my years on Trad Gang I've never been so terrified to open up a thread....
Congrats on the BL!

Well it is a tough economy.
There is something called the "New Bow Dance." I think it goes something like...

Highly dissapointing thread. Nice bow, but I was looking forward to something else...
Me too!
If I could dance for cash to fund a new bow, you'd see a three hundred pounder having at it..
:saywhat: :saywhat:
Ditto to this^^^! Except the 300#er part, I'm only 260,lol! :goldtooth:
Mitch and Mike you dancing for bow money has de-railed my entire plan for today. Now if Biggy joins in then I am going to donate my eyes while Im still living...LOL
I hear Tina Turners Private Dancer song in my head, And no I cant imagine a video.
You must find an alternate form of money making for a bow.
Congrats on the new bow! Glad there want any pics/videos of you dancing. :)
Congtratulations on a very good choice

And then... Magic. Black capped chickadee was up on the tip for a minute or so but spooked when I raised the camera to click it.

First group with my recurve arrows at 18 yards. The black disk is 6 inches in diameter.

I shot seven arrows and then thought I'd better stop and take a photo before they started going wild.
The very first thought when I took it out of the box was "Man, this is the toughest bubble wrap on the planet!" And then when I saw it, Ka-BOOM! Love at first sight. I was just speechless.
Strung it up this morning and took some photos and then shot it and wow. There is a little noise, just a little wooden tap. So I bare shafted it and it was nock up. So not quite plug and play, but close. I admit, I cheated and had JJ set up the string. Can't wait to dial it in. Another note... I was shooting all the way through the target and about 2 inches into frozen bank on the other side. I shot a group at 30 yards and only a little bigger but high. It shoots quicker, flatter. I am in love.
The Lee stick is one of the best RD bows I have ever shot and own. For some reason very few people know avout it.
Nice looking bow!
I really like the looks of the grip. I bet it's a dandy to shoot! Very Nice!
Jason
It's not as buttery as my recurve, kind of like a smooth snap. I thought the grip would be an easier transition to a long bow than a true HH style and I think I was right.
That first pic of the pole dance is sexy! She is one sweet looker you got there!!!
Nice longbow Pat!
Enjoy!
Shoot straight, Shinken
