well ive been experimenting over the last 6 months or so with some wood arrows. ive been lucky enough to have help along the way to find some premade or half finished arrows here and there. well i finnaly took the plunge and made my first set from scratch. needless to say there far from perfect but to me they couldnt look any better. this is becoming addicting so fast, i even had to make myself some FLU-FLU's to go along with it. these are hickory shafts, and while they were a bear to get strait they were well worth the effort. tipped with 165 grain tree sharts should be quite the medicine or turkey, deer, and whatever else is in season. heres some pics of my arrows, hope you enjoy!
!TURKEYS BEWARE!

Nice work! What's the weight and spine! Tell us about your bow too please. :campfire:
Nice job!
Nice!
bare shaft the arrows are 600 grains. plus the 165 grain tip. i dont have an arrow scale but i would estimate them to be around 800 grains maybe? im shooting a 55lb samick red stag t/d at my draw of 31" with full length 65-70# 11/32 arrows. these arrows fly like darts! they might seem a bit heavy to alot of folks but to me i LOVE how these things fly and hit. they dont seem to drop too bad out to 25yds either.
steven
beautiful arrows and they will hit hard i like heavy arrows too and those fluflus r sweet
i forgot to mention those flu flus are just 3/8" poplar dowel rods from lowes. they work great and i was lucky enough to find points that fit perfect without a taper!
steven
Congrats on the arrows, now they will look a tad better in a shade of red. And I love the sharks on the end
Beautiful and deadly, now that's an irresistible combination! Your care and hard work will bring you great rewards, given the opportunity. Be stealthy, and bring them to the game!
