Didn't even Howard Hill have trouble getting an arrow to split that good?  I think I saw somewhere that they had to run the famous "Robin Hood" shot down a wire to get it to split right down the middle.

That's pretty neat!  If I had done that, I'd find a way to glue those two arrows together as they are in the picture, and stick it on a wall somewhere!

Congrats. Straight grain its the best, but getting hard to find.

You know that the only way to improve on this one would be to shoot a 3-blade and split in 3 equal parts...

Wow!  Send that pic to Mythbusters.  They concluded it could not be done with a wood arrow.  They never figured out the importance of straight grain!

Monterey said it, send that picture to Mythbusters. It made me so frustrated when they did it, they were using dowels from a hardware store. Not exactly straight grained. Was it POC? They always smell so nice when you break or spit one. Congratulations, that is a great shot!

Nice, I split one in three one time, but the second shot didn;t stay in the arrow being split. I didn;t know the first arrow had been split until I pulled it from the target.That's a real robin hood there!......   :thumbsup:
