Just my .02 cents...check out the Shaggie longcoat by Rancho Safari.  Jerry does a great job in making these and they are way better then anything Cabela's offers.  Plus, it's American made.

While these probably work a bit better than "plain" camo, The major advantage with ghillies is breaking up your head and shoulders outline into a single blob.  Keep in mind that outfits like this won't do that.

I just got mine about two weeks ago. Lots lighter than the rancho. It seems to fit a little tighter also. Mine is the TCS though and not the ghill-leaf.

I bought the TCS jacket and pants as Cabelas had them on special in Feb. As kbetts said, they seem lightweight and tight enough to work well over other garments although I have nothing to compare with. I am very pleased with them. My wife thinks I look funny in them...

3-Feathers, I just ordered a TCS suit from Cabellas, wanted the Gillie leaf but like you thought it would be to hot for Turkey hunting.  After I ordered it I ran across an add in Predator magazine from  www.gilliesuits.com (http://www.gilliesuits.com)  , you might want to check them out. One of their suits is made for Bowhunting, nothing on the inside of your bow arm and these are serious Gillie Suits.  I am planning to order one of these as well. Can't have to much f a good thing. Just bought the materials to make the gillie poncho project like the one that is in the current issue of Traditional Bowhunter Mag.  Will see how it works out. Have $35.00 invested in materials.

I use this Whitewater Turkey Vest I bought a few yrs. ago (without the hang down seat..sit'n on the ground makes me feel more traditional). It has zip off sleeves. I wear it and regular camo pants.

I have a Cabela's suit. My Wife bought me one for this Christmas. I had a Whitetail within 28 (later paced) yards. He saw me, as I was calling & he had my position nailed. He didn't know what I was & sneaked away, he wasn't alarmed. I like it!   ;)
