Ordered sometime in the Fall, just arrived today, JK Traditions "Kanati", Rosewood color Dymondwood, black glass. 58", #50 @28.
I owned a Kanati a few years back and unwittingly sold it with regret since.... I got in touch with Jason last fall and "loosely" placed an order, not really nailing down the details until he was ready to build.
Glad I waited as he started doing the accent stripes after my initial order, and I must say that I really like the way they look. I also noticed that the grip/riser seems more trim with more "distinct" contours at the same time.
Didnt get much of a chance to shoot it today, but as expected, shoots real fast, points extremely well, and dead quiet.... likely the quietest "radical" r/d hybrid I have tried yet.
The one I owned a few years ago was a fantastic bow, but I do believe there have been some very slight refinements to the current Kanati's that make them all the more better.
A few quickie photos, will post some "braced" tommorow-

You mean the one I have now???
You sure made up for it, bud. That has got to be one of the finest looking Kanati bows I've ever seen. Well done by Jason and you as well.
 :archer2:
That is a real looker!
Nice! I need to shoot one.
:clapper: beautiful! I own a 2009 and a 2011 and he slimmed them down in 2010. After I got my second one I sent him the first one and took some off the grip. Awesome bows!
That's a fantastic looking bow... Does anyone know if he makes them as a two piece with a bow bolt.. I could really like one with that option if it looks as nice as yours.
Gene
WOW That is a super looking bow!!!
Sharp! I'm really starting to like the black glass limbs again.
Gene he was toying with the idea of a bow bolt system but dont think he has made one yet.
ishoot4thrills, yep you got my old bow, i think that bow was meant to wind up with you somehow!
I love it. I have an order in for my first "for me" bow. I think I made a wise choice. I hear nothing but good things about Kanati.
Its going to be a long summer.
Sharpest looking Kanati yet! Keep up the great work Jason.
some bows just look "good" with black glass, and the Kanati is definitely one of them. I think its because of the grip shape, profile, and especially the current use of the accent lines.

Congratulations to you.
Jason: Bro that is just an outstanding design. I especially love the use of the phenolic for your wedges and on through the bow. That is a bow that you can depend on.
God bless you all, Steve
Classy is definitely the adjective that comes to mind...very, very nice.
Great looking bow and awesome photo!
Thanks for sharing!
Josh
got to shoot more today, got both strings stretched/tuned, will get some braced pics soon, just didnt get a chance today.
Josh thanks for the red/black string it looks real nice on the bow, using it as the main string and the one that came with the bow as a back up.
I cant elaborate enough on how quiet the bow is for such a radical hybrid, and it really gets along well with the Navajo silencers!
woa now ! jason please stop producing works of art !
that is a beauty and makes a grown man envious. :)
congrats on a sweet looking and shooting longbow.
Jason
Nice job you really got me counting my pennies!!
