I have a large burlap bag target that I made and have hanging in the yard. It is filled with plastic grocery bags. Tree rats and Chipmunks seem to love the burlap for nests or whatever, and take some small pieces of the plastic bags as well. I keep having to re-stitch the bag closed and little by little it is shrinking in size. Any ideas on some sort of spray or something that might keep these little buggers from utilizing my target as their own private burlap supply store would be appreciated. Thanks.

Home Depot and or Ace/Aco has an animal deterant spray. I use it at work when we have some go around the wire we install just doesn't deter them. Also works great on deer according to the bottle. Spay it on your buddies boots if he is rubbing you the wrong way.
Just start picking them off! Thats what i do.
I have heard that pepper spray sprayed on the object you want to keep them off will work. I don't have any experience with it though.
Judos or blunts
Here is what I did. Get a new rat trap about 15 kernels of shelled corn and some crazy glue. Build a small "pile" of corn on the pan glue a base layer wait a while glue another layer and repeat until you have a little pile on the pan. Set it out with a few kernels sprinkled around it. It's deadly I've set it out and had it go off before I made it back to the house.
like the others said- Shoot em
Put a 1/2 full 5 gallon bucket of water Ned to the target. Put a handful of sunflower seeds onto of the water to float, then put a branch/2x4 or some other type of ramp leaned up to the top of the bucket. All that is left to do is go out and empty the bucket every other day of all the drowned mice/chipmunks. Works like a charm, and my boys find great joy in "trapping" them this way.
I just dump the bucket back in my swamp. The water starts to stink real bad after a few get in there.
Being your only a couple miles from me, the water will freeze overnight, so set it in the AM and empty in the PM when it starts to freeze.
All you have to do is get some garlic powder from the grocery store(some dollar stores have it)sprinkle it all over the the bag and inside the whole and they will leave it alone. Most of the store bought repellents use garlic as the main ingredient.
Oh and if you have a shed and they are able to get under it, thats gonna be the nesting place for the chipmunks ( not all live in Hollywood, just Alvin and the boys)good luck.Tim
Thanks for the input guys. Much appreciated. The mice don't mess with the target, but the chipmunks and squirrels love it. I'll give some of your suggestions a try and see how it goes.
For outdoors put moth balls in and around it. You will have to replace every so often.
get them drunk once or twice, then place a 12 pack on the neighbors porch.
I think a few judo heads would solve all of your problems.
Free moving tarkets...pick a spot!
Put some mothballs in the stuffing.
