Title: Turkey Blinds
Post by: scruff on February 27, 2012, 04:58:00 PM
Hi Guys
I was looking at turkey blinds.  Lots of friends have the double bull blind.  They all shoot compounds out of them.  I shoot 62" recurves.  It seems that I would hit my upper limb tip on the roof of that one.  Any comments on the double bull for recurve shooting or any other reccomendations for good turkey blinds for recurve shooters?
Thanks
Scrug

The Double Bull Recurve model is 7 inches taller than the Standard. You should not have a problem shooting out of the taller one. I do not think that you would be disappointed.

I shoot 66" recurves. For these bows, I use an Ameristep "Penthouse" blind and it measures 78" square by 90" in height.

I really like my Barronett 350 hub style blind.  You can shoot just about anything you want to out of them.  Eighty inches high and tons of room for at least two people.

My only issue with them is that the windows are pretty high so you have to either use a tall stool, or stand to shoot.  They go up super quick, and I would highly recommend them.

I used to shoot my 62" GMII out of a regular double bull dark horse w/o issue.  I shoot my 62" Buffalo out of an ameristep blind that is the same size as the double bull.  You don't really need the recurve version unless you feel you want the extra space or shoot a bow 64" or longer.

I have gotten a lot of use out of a baronett big mike blind. It is 80" tall so i think you would be able to shoot just about anything out of it.
