Title: Maddog Youth Picture thread
Post by: Cyclic-Rivers on February 26, 2012, 10:23:00 AM
Killdeer had a great idea, to have an album of all the kids and people enriched by the Maddog and Vermoster youth bow program.

Oliver 4

I dont have pictures here but know Mom and Dad helped uncle Andy build an indoor range so they dont have to shoot in the cold. Oliver never wanted to come in after mom and dad were cold in the -15 Wisconsin weather. lol.

These Bows were custom ordered from Mike, but none the less, has had a great impact in getting my nephews into shooting archery.  Thanks Mike. Great pics everyone. Back when I first started bulding bows I made the recurve (later called the pup once I went into business) with the idea I was going to use some scraps I had left over to make a crossbow.  When I got the first one out of the form I thought it would make a cool bow for young kids to use.  I dumped the crossbow idea and never gave it another thought.  I made some of the 36" recurves for my friend's kids and once I started the business in 2006, the pup recurves were the first bows I sold.  It all started by accident pretty much.  I've tweaked the design a little, but they are still pretty close to how they started.
