Who makes a good decoy at a reasonable price??
I have had good luck with the inflatables. Easy to pack and the newer ones with molded heads work well.
Killer B has worked insanely well for me, that tail duck is a killer!
Depends on what you think is a good price. You want to turkey hunt or kill turkeys? check out DSD decoys. Also "attack track".
I don't know the brand but I saw some fantastically realistic ones at a big sports store this weekend. Feather textures, realistic colors, etc.
These decoys are getting so realistic I'm expecting them to lock up just out of bow range one of these days.
Check out "dave smith decoys"
The best i have seen. Not too cheap though
Avian X decoys are very nice decoys as well.
I saw the DSD's at the nwtf. I will say that if they weren't already sold out, I would have bought the entire flock for 500 bucks. I am glad, but I know that my success with a bow would at least go up in plots or open areas by 50%. They look so real that a flock would attract anything that would come in sight distance. I will say this . The gobbler is awesome, but I would only prefer the half strut Jake. I have spooked many birds with a big strutter decoy. Awesome decoys.
A few years ago I started fabricating my own using throw away mounts, fans, and wings that I keep from turkeys I've taken. Nothing fools a wary Eastern like real feathers. NOTHING.
I was never a believer in realistic, expensive decoys, I didn't think it would make a difference. I am a believer now. The Avian X from Zink is really good, kind of expensive (~$75), but worth it IMO.

Cabelas had the Avian X on sale before christmas, was able to get 3 for slightly more than one DSD
I'm going to trying Montana Decoys this year, used older plastic ones in the past but they are well used and not exactly effective
Avian x all the way. They arnt the cheapest but I belive they will last a long time
I like the Avian also, I bought two last year with some Cabela's points that I had. They are a deadly combination with my Spin-n-Strut Jake decoy.
I agree the Avian X by Zink are great. Also, David Smith Decoys are second to none and they are Made in the USA to boot. They are are a little higher priced but they should last a life time.
I was one of those guys who thought that the High-end ultra-realistic decoys were all hype. However, last year I started using an Avian X with some of my old decoys and time after time every bird that came in walked right to the Avian X, which was the most realistic decoy I had out.
The best one I ever saw was made from a skinned hen that my friend mounted on hinged boards so it folded flat when stored.

primos decoys work for me
here are two photos i shot while hunting
I found a really great deal on the Pretty boy and girl combo...$56 shipped......over on that auction site.....and even saw full fans on there for around $34 shipped
But man those Avix and DSD look real!!!
I like the Prettyboy as well. I use a real fanned tail. It works well. Some of the others mentioned were just too expensive.
Local Wal-Mart has the Primos Killer B for $59. That is 20 less than Bass Pro and 40 less than Cabelas.
DAVE SMITH

I thought that was a picture of a real bird until I read the post, great looking decoys. That's what I would buy.
