I have been looking for another bow, well I called Big Jim just to talk to him and as luck would have it.... Big Jim was working on a bow that was just about what I was looking for.He said I will send pics to you, never should have gave him my email. LOL... Now she is not quite finished but will be in a few days, here are the specs. The bow is a 62" Buffalo 55@29, Sheep horn tips and overlays, Beaver hide grip, now the only sad part is, I can not pronounce what kind of wood it is. LOL... I have a divorce hearing day after tomorrow, so this is a little present to myself to cheer me up. LOL... I will post more pics when I get it in my hands. Here are the pics. Tom

Thats a gorgeous bow! I am anxious to hear what the wood combo is on it. I am sure it will be a shooter as I have not heard a bad review of Jim's bows yet.
Beautiful bow, is that sheep horn overlays?
Yep, Sheep horn
Another great looking bow from the man!!
From what I've seen, Big Jim makes a lot of people do a lot of bad things. Looks like you're his latest victim.
He is definitely a bow artist, for lack of a better word. Great guy as well.
Very nice.
Dr. Big Jim might charge you extra for therapy after all, bringing this new girl in your life is a comfort!!!
Very nice!!!
I have some advice, "Dont take possession of that bow until those papers are signed!" From one brother of hard knocks to another. Been there done that and lost the t-shirt!
What a bow!
Beautiful bow!
very nice.
Great looking bow. Big Jim makes some great bows, I don't think I have ever seen one that wasn't impressive.
Some of you asked about the wood here is what Big Jim said about the bow on another site;
"FYI- the limbs are smoked movingui and the riser is extra special. It is cultrada dalbergia or "burmese rosewood". Cocolate in color and very heavily curled like the movingui limbs only tighter curl. I had to set a block aside for my own personal ThunderChild.
When I find woods such as that, it is like shooting a nice doe, or catching a big fish. Warm and fuzzy all over.
I have been looking for more cultrada and have only been able to acquire a few blocks. Most supliers say they have never seen any. Others say they will probably never see another.
Wow, it would almost make me sad except that I have gotten used to selling them and sending them away. Would like to do that with one of my sons ocasionally."
BigJim
I would like to add this as well Big Jim is a Hell'uva nice guy to talk to on the phone and seems like a great guy to deal with all the way around. This might just push me towards a Thunder Child next. LOL.....
Anyway I think she sure is a looker and it will be a shooter as well I am sure. Thanks again Big Jim.
Tom
The Bearded Giant is a real asset to the trad world. No finer gentleman to deal with.
Congrats on a great bow!

Gorgeous bow and I bet she is cheaper than the lady your parting paths with! I feel for you brother I have been the big D path myself. On the upside I know have a wonderful wife who fishes, camps, and trad hunts with me.
