Well today I was out again to chase boars after the big snow storm that hit Europe last week.
With the freezing temperatures we had,no critters were moving;I am been out everyday to check tracks on the snow but nothing was moving!
I hope to have some stories to tell you soon, now that the temps are arising.

Preparing for a coming roe deer season!
Good luck, felix. I made nutria cacciatore with on that I shot, but I think a boar would be better.

Hey Young Fella!,So good to see you out and about,I'm also starting to shoot lots ,in the next few weeks going to check out a farm thats having Boar problems.a couple of months ago they shot a 550#,I couldn't imagine!Warmest winter here in 30 years.I can't believe how nice.Keep us posted old buddy.
Felix,
Stay after the Boars my friend, I know it is only a matter of time..!
See you in April, I can post a few teaser pics of the Beauty Queen if you like?
Felix, the nutria were beginning to be a huge problem in the marshes of Maryland, destroying the roots of the marsh grasses. We solved the problem with an aggessive many year program of trapping.
Love the pics Felix!
ALWAYS enjoy tagging along on your adventures. Thanks so much for sharing.
Keep after them buddy.
That is one nice hunting vehicle you got there.
Boar or no... the pictures are wonderful.
Keep us posted.
Good hunting!!
God bless,Mudd
Keep after them Felix! If their there I'm sure you will get them.
I'll be chasing hogs around Sebring, Fl in 2 weeks. Pretty certain there won't be any snow involved :saywhat: .
Will let you know how we did after I get back on the 16th of March.

Not a big one but what arrived, and better meat for sure. This is the size I like the most.
3rd boar for my Zipper SXT "Hugly Sister"
Waiting for some pics of the "Beauty Queen"from my friend Pat!
Congrats!
Love that SXT... makes my wallet hurt looking at those belly limb veneers. Whats the wood??? Beauty of a hog too. Just the right size.
A friend of mine told me that on a private property of another friend, the wild boar were active again. Here they don't stay very long because when the gunners with the hounds see fresh tracks they start to pursue them and being a gang of 30 guys plus many dogs, well they make those poor boars running for the next valley.
I arrived around 4 PM with everything to set a stand, but I didn't find the good tree, position and fresh tracks I wanted so I scouted the area and saw some fresh tracks of the night before.I was able to understand their main direction for enter the area and with the sun declining i found a good spot with excellent wind.I was not really confident that I could find them before dark, but since I was there...
I was there only for 10 minutes when I heard a soft mouse walk in the soft silent ground, here there were 2 boars some 25 yards away from me,with one coming in my direction facing me,I was ready, but some branches were in the wrong position.8 yards, broadside, but covered by limbs,2 more steps, quartering away at 10 yards,a small opening between us.The CX Eritage 250 was on the way.I saw it running on a trail and after few seconds I heard a noise of broken limbs:the VPA Terminator has done its work.
The socond boar was farther away,it made a roar and went in the direction of its brother.Silence.
Zippercurve:the bow has a Macassar/Zebrawood riser-Evolution Carbon/Foam 57#-@29" limbs with Cathedral Zebrawood venners on the belly and Eastern Diamondback skins on the back, antler tips.
Great story!! looking forward to the rest of it!
Outstanding! :clapper:
Right on!
Great story.
Great hunting Cacci! Nice Boar! Congrats!
So I called my friend and told him I had a shot.He said don't move I'll be there in 10 min with my blod tracking dog.Well I waited while the dark was approching being confident of a good hit and of a good dog. These boars are incredible, they don't let too much tracks also when hitten hard.
When my friend arrived(he is a bowhunter too)he said the dog had a problem and was on its way by the veterinary(his wife,by the way).So we would be the trackers. With a muddy soil and snow on the ground it wasn't difficult to track it,also if the first 20 yards were almost withoud blood.
After that Ray Charles could jhave followed the trail and in 50 total yards it was down!Arrow entered a bit too much on the back but a good angle and 720 grains helped the arrow to take liver and lungs.Within 1 hour from the hit the boar was hanging for cure the meat.It will be a line of Salami in few days.LOL.
Awesome hunt! Really love to hear these stories from bowhunters all over the world using the same tactics and equipment to chase game.

Great job, Felix!
great Felix you 're lucky guy !
Congrats Felix! That boar will make some fine eating, and the nutriia ,too.
Seems like youb still have loads of snow down there...
Congrats on nice boar. Your arrows should drop anything with a good hit. Great looking bow, I really like the combination of wood.
Barry-I think a so heavy arrow is a must with big boars, this one was a small young boy but some 400-500 #er can be around and they are not pigs, these are always been wild and tame the low(-20C)with 3" of fat and heavy furry skins.
One time a friend, with a compuond bow 70# and a 3 BL NAP,shot a 500#Boar quartering away,20 yards, the arrow entred completely but just between the skin and the rib cage.He was lucky that the boar was on a icy slope and wasn't able to run away since it was slipping on the frozen ground. He was able to make 2 more shots and then
followed the blood trail for the final 4th shot! :scared:
What a cool story - thanks a lot for sharing Felix and congrats!!!
Rich

TD,king of the predators!,you can hunt foxes and are more than welcome,I need a good teacher and you are the best to me!
No way for wolves also if the hunters would be really pleased!
Local wolves are just a little bigger than coyotes here.
