Title: My new Wild Horse Creek Bow
Post by: archeryx on February 17, 2012, 09:10:00 PM
Just picked it up today. It's a winner for sure! 58" Kestrel 56 lbs. @ 28".

Riser is Brazilian rosewood with a leopard wood flare. Tamo ash limbs stained black, bamboo cores, with rosewood, micarta, and leopard wood tips. Beaver tail grip and shelf pad. B-50 string.

And to boot, the footed arrow using the riser's woods. Mike makes a great bow and very beautiful at that!!

This thing is so quiet, I don't even need to put on string silencers.

I have two Hawk`s and a Kestrel that I shoot regularly and enjoy very much. Both Hawk bows are 62" one with wenge and bocote riser with tamo ash veneers. The other one is cocobolo riser with osage veneers and coco overlay. My little Kestrel is brazilian rosewood riser with waterfall bubinga veneers, it is 58". All are beautiful, but the osage/coco bow is just fantastic. Thanks Mike.

How long of a wait time on a new one. I used to have one but that was about ten years ago. Bought mine used from The Nocking Point's Mike Horton. He spoke highly of him.

I think his wait time is about 4 months.

And yes they are outstanding bows.
