I am thinking of having this Browning bow professionally refinished and was thinking of having some skins put on at the same time. What recommendations to match the bow color?

Cottonmouth
Aren't those just about impossible to find?
Cottonmouths are everywhere down here. Get in touch with Bob Morrison just sent him a set last week and will be sending him many more. Now copperheads are a different story either would look good on your Bow.
Copperhead!
I like cottonmouths too, but i think copperheads would match that bow pretty well.

Copperhead or red rat would lookmawesome
If it helps any, these are copperhead limbsations from onestringer.com on a newer Bear Grizzly - similar colors to your bow. You can tell they're fake up close, but they look good from a distance. Easy to apply, and I've had them on through 2 seasons now.

I've been trying to find a set of copperheads for awhile with zero luck so hopefully you'll have better luck if you go that route.
However, I agree with the above recommendations - both copperhead or cottonmouth would look great.
Ccopperhead would look great!
I think Copperheads was what I was originally thinking. Not Cottonmouths. Those limbsations look pretty good and that gives me a good visual what real ones would look like on it. Thanks.
Copperheads Definately!
What color is the glass on the limbs? I have heard that dark limbs really dull out the copperheads, don't know about the cottonmouth. I have a bow with brown limbs I would like to skin, so have moved away from the copperhead. Maybe someone with better knowledge will elaborate.
The limbs are black glass front and back.
Why bother? Just buy a new bow and give this one to me :D
Jason, as much as I know you would like for me to do that, I'm kind of attached to this one! :bigsmyl: I've had bows that I swore I was never gonna get rid of and ended up doing just the opposite. I want to make this one so that it is a permanent keeper, and I won't want to get rid of it. Besides, I really shoot it well.

I have used both Copperhead and Cottonmouth several times. I like the Cottonmouths more. They match more easily. Get them from Snakewood3 or Bob.
I like contrast, I would go with some prairie rattler skins.
If you go with Copperheads I'd spray the back side with some white paint first. It will really make the colors stand out. Good luck.
What Joe Keith said except yellow paint. I hope you have a good man to do the refinishing. Its hard to compare to the origonal Browning finish. their Hi Gloss was a for real great finish.
I would go with the cottonmouths if you can find them. If not then diamondbacks. You can do the diamondbacks on the black.
Copperheads on black are generally inferior to when they are on a lighter colored limb.
God bless and Nice bow, Steve
Fire Belly :biglaugh:
NICE Bow!
darn hard to find copperheads that long around.
Another vote for copperheads!
Those tanned bulls from David Conroy would look fantastic!
Copperhead would look good with that bow.
That's a very good looking bow. I have to agree with everyone that says cottonmouth. I live down in south central tx. and we do have a lot of cottonmouths. The ones I have seen are all black, but I was usually moving away pretty quickly,so I never got a real good look.
classic diamondback - it'll blend right in with the darkness of the wood and have that recognizable pattern. I've only ever liked copperhead on tulip wood.
i have a set of copperhead, loyd
Copperheads for sure
