I meant this post to be a thanks to Bill and Tracy, and pictures of my new Zipper, but that was 4 months ago. Instead I want to give a shout-out to a bowyer that many of you have already acknowledged.
Like many other trad gangers, I have had the opportunity to shoot a very wide variety of bows. I am in the unique position to work in a very large archery pro shop where we take in hundreds of bows a year, my reasons for shooting Zippers are well known by those who have shot them.
I grew up shooting a 1964 Zebrawood Bear Grizzly, and never stopped shooting trad, but had not hunted with trad gear for four years due to college athletics. The Zipper Extreme I put together thanks to Bills help is like my third arm, and has put an arrow on the mark every time I have needed.
One Turkey...

Many Squirrels...
And 3 days into the season....

Then came the real challenge... A buck I passed two years before, and had patterned well. I named him "the king" after watching him chase away all his competition in August, and because of his 3 pointed crown on his right side. November 16th I hunted his area for the second time, and had a nine-yard shot.... He was very slowly walking, and as I released my arrow sailed straight to its mark, and split a one inch sappling directly in front of his heart. He looked at the arrow, urinated down his leg, and headed off. What an experience.

I want to thank Bill publicly. Through the entire process he answered all my questions and exchanged stories and thoughts along the way. He is a true gentleman is every aspect and I cannot recommend him highly enough as a bowyer and a person. Tracy as well was great, answering questions and helping me choose a clear-coat for a refinishing project.
It is people like Bill and Tracy, who truly care about our sport and take the time to educate and share stories with others that make places like TG the great place that they are. Thanks a million Bill.

And for those of you thinking about a Zipper here are some close-ups of Bills finish work and finger groves.

Bill and Tracy are the best! Nice acknowledgement. Nice wood choice on your bow also. Good luck Zippering the "KING" this year!
Sweet, I love my Zipper's too, had to run down and hug mine after seeing yours.
Bill and Tracy top notch!! :notworthy: :notworthy:
WoW...that's a looker  my new
sxt should be here soon.
You Have a great looking bow!!! Congrats on the game as well!
Zippers are top of the class in my book, and it is because of the hard work from Bill and Tracy that make a Zipper Bow what it is!!
You just can't beat the Zipper duo of Bill and Tracy...great folks just as you described.....and their bows ain't bad either:)
They don't come any better, great service and advise.
I also have and shoot a lot of trad bows and every time I shoot my Zippers my first thought is WOW what a great bow
I love them
Well deserved compliments and great looking bow.
Yes I think Bill deserves all the kind of compliments for his humanity, disponibility and capability. If you try one of his bows you can't don't buy it!
Felix, I love words, and because you just invented one, I love you!!
Yes, Bill and Tracy are the very essence of disponibility, and every other "bility" that I could ever dream of.
Over the years, I have had the pleasure of seeing them in Maryland and West Virginia and have never bought a Zipper. But I have seen them man their booth and sellout their excellent bows, help archers of every stripe, and me, when helping new archers set up their equipment.
They are a welcome sight when I go to a shoot, and a threat to my bank account now that Bill has developed a one-piece Zipper. As a horseman, a farrier has always had star appeal, but a farrier-bowyer? WOW! :readit:
Killdeer
Bill is one great guy but I gotta say Tracy is much better lookin' :) .
Very honoured Killie! :notworthy:
I am working on resizing the pictures, the bow details are worth seeing. This resizing is harder than it should be.
Guess that wasnt as hard as I thought. The attention to detail shows Bills skills to a tee. Thanks.
AWWW SHUCKS! You guys are much too generous! We do appreciate it though.
Bill and Bill's boss. :biglaugh:
